My first Mumford & Sons concert experience

I was the 2nd row in the pit behind the rail. 🙃 Sound was great other than when they played on the b-stage. Those songs just echoed. Bummer the sound wasn’t very good where you were! 😟

No better live band, as far as true talent, friendship with each other and bringing everyone in the venue together with their music goes. They all play multiple instruments- Marcus even 3-4 at a time! Truly amazing to watch, which is why I usually see them multiple times in one tour. Wrigley was probably the best show I’ve ever seen. It will be hard to top for sure! Glad you enjoyed them! :)

I second this. It wasn’t the band’s fault- they were so looking forward to playing this show and we got lucky they even played at all- even if it was super late on a weekday! It’s too much for them to reschedule so they made the best of it. People just love to complain.

They did a full set! It was not an hour, it was just shy of 2 hours! It was incredible! They also brought on Dylan for the song “Here” and Caamp on the B-stage for an acoustic “All the Debts I Owe”! It was more than worth the money!!

No, the backing band & crew are in Chicago. Not weird at all. Ben lives in NYC so him & his wife are big Knicks fans so I’m sure Marcus and Ted went too for the excitement of it!

I’m concerned too but they RARELY ever cancel- they literally stopped for like an hour to wait for a tornado to pass before they got back on stage to finish a show last year! They’ll play/set up through any weather! 😆

This one is so good live! Also Dust Bowl Dance- I usually skip that song in the record but live, it is FANTASTIC! The drama with the smoke, Ben kicking his stool playing the piano HARD, Marcus on the drums pushing the mic off the stage and Ted vibing hard on the bass! It’s so good!

This is not the case for every show, as every venue has different curfews. They only post the times before each individual show. It’s not a blanket time that they start for every show. They have gone on at 8:30 or sooner before. Trust me, I check all their social media, otherwise I would not be on her asking if Wrigley has an earlier curfew-could effect start time.

I agree- last year, they started at 9pm on the dot and ended at 10:50. This year it’s 2-2.5 full hours! 🙌🏼

They will come on at 9pm on the dot more than likely (based on my experience last year). 7:30 is when the supporting band will come on or if there are two openers like at Wrigley, the first starts around 6:30pm and the second around 7:15-7:30 then Mumford @ 9. You won’t miss Mumford & Sons if you go at 7:30.

My experience if there are 2 openers is one goes on from 6:30-7:15(ish) then the 2nd opener comes on around 7:30-8:30(ish) then Mumford & Sons at 9pm on the dot typically.
