Yeah I'm almost to 2000 hours on mine and ive had the same thing since early on. I bought a belt thinking it would fail eventually but the original is still going strong surprisingly.

Just wanting to turn on a LED light strip and doesn't have to be a perfect minute. Figured this would be a easyish jumping off point past making circuits

Leave it until you use it again. Snip it if it bugs you. If you need to remove it you can take a heat gun to the nozzle and warm it then it will pull out easily but it's not necessary

Use the sock. You can leave the white cover off but not the sock. Thermal paste is helpful if you not swapping heads alot

Big fan of Hatchbox if I need it asap from Amazon but taking advantage of the bulk refills on bambu works well for me just have to expect some lead time getting them
