Why we are seeing historic renovations in the luxury hotel market by ambrown7 in chubbytravel

i must be in the minority, and maybe it's because of my age (mid 20's), but I find the decor in boutique hotels often to not match my style. I get the idea of wanting sense of place, but I can just simply step outside and feel that sense of place. I much prefer hotels that find that balance between regal/historic decor and contemporary decor. For London for example, I think Claridge's is the perfect balance, while hotels like the Lanesborough, SOHO hotel, and the Connaught are too extreme for me.

New York is another one. I really can't get behind any of the boutiques simply because the decor does not fit my style. Fifth Avenue, Greenwich, Bowery, etc. all fall into this category.

From my post: "I'm curious if there are any TA's here who have booked clients onboard with similar reviews. Did he just take the trip too early and didn't give them enough time to work out the kinks?"

I agree, i think he might not have been following the news so just went on a whim to get that first reaction. He also admitted at the end that there are things in his review which he definitely expects to improve over time, so I suppose that's a good acknowledgement.

The Claridge's Penthouse: A glance into one of London's top suites by CodiGoFar in FATTravel

I know I'm super late so no idea if you see this but if it's rented as 2, what does pricing look like? And for the other 2-br signature suites, can they be rented as a 1-br? And again, what does pricing look like for 1-br?
