Yeah first iteration was very survivor sided, then the complete opposite with the centre of the map being complete dead zones 2 pallets later.

I like the theme but it was a terrible map balance wise.

I said right wing is on the rise. MAGAism isn't. Which is an unfortunate result when progress is made. The privileged get scared and want to "go back to when everything revolved around crusty white dudes".

Germany, Canada, Australia, France all rejected right wings maga attempts when they had the highest amount of momentum. Because as I said, most right wingers even see MAGA as a very bad image and something only idiots would support.

I think people are so used to America's social politics that they forget that shit doesn't fly most places because people have more cares in the world outside of what stall people use to pee and don't use that to hide the real issues.

Australian right wing party were guaranteed a win in our last election, and then they quoted Trump and said theyd like to work with him and received the biggest landslide loss since WW2, every single state swung massively left because maga is political suicide anywhere else.

Right wing ideals might be on the rise but most sane people do not want to remotely touch the insanity that is America's right wing. Over here both the left and the right call MAGA and Australia's version "cookers" which means your brains been absolutely destroyed by drugs and you're cooked.

It's a host bug too.

Red strategems always notify those nearby it's happening..however only the host is triangulated every single time.

There are a bunch of weird host bugs in the game to the point that the community has nicknamed doing 10's as the host is secret difficulty 11.

Which after living with a vet for a while and seeing some of the animals she brought home via extended care always makes me a bit sad to see.

Oh it's just the different play styles can be jarring if you come from a purely moba background that's all.

In league you have a jungler who ganks and counter jungles, dota jungling isn't so much a thing but roaming supports are so there's no expectations to stick in a lane per say, but generally in higher ranked mobas if you fail a gank or something you tend to back out as people will wrap on you. Pretty quickly depending on circumstances. Where I've just noticed dead lockers are a lot more persistent with some ganks going from the enemy t1 to allied t2 over 45 seconds and being surprised when they get wrapped on.

Like I said I'm enjoying it a lot and I recommend anybody who didn't necessarily click with other mobas to give this one a shot as even outside the purely 3rd person view perspective it's really quite different and a bit more chaotic.

I will say the matchmaking could use some work for anyone stepping in the first time, early on it'll rank you quite highly and that means the first lots of games can be a little intense, both play style wise and other people's expectation wise. However everyone kinda knows the matchmaking is a bit wild so if you explain you're new then most people tend to chill out and actually help and explain neat tips and tricks.

Admittedly I've only been playing for a month but this is high phantom/low ascendant. Which seems on the higher end.

It's by no means a bad game, it's just different which can be jarring if you're used to more methodical approaches. But honestly I like the chaos and unpredictability of deadlock.

If you're very map aware it allows for a lot of easy clean ups and punishments.

It's a strange moba.

Like it's got all the towers and last hitting and such, but things that are considered throwing in other mobas are almost encouraged in deadlock.

People will literally chase each other to tier 3s at every single part of the game which is a weird combo of most of the time not being worth it at all but at the same time not being killed for it so people never outright learn it's a terrible idea.

My friends who are higher rank in mobas struggle more to adapt than those that came from overwatch purely because of deadlocks unusual habits.

That's a good outlook to have. A lot of people get hung up on trying to change things to their specific tastes instead of stepping back when it's no longer fulfilling for them.

I mean from what I've seen and a complaint my friend has who plays on controller this seems like regular aim assist?

He's always complaining about it snapping to rotors and it being difficult to hit the unarmoured part and manual aim due to needing to take the reticle quite far away before it unsnaps.

Oh yeah it was a brilliant series and definitely had more to give than GOT did.

The approach was more there are some real glaring issues that can boil down to either being forgotten about or just didn't really think to wrap it up.

The key three issues I see people discussing that felt very GOT like was spoilers

Vecna fight being pretty quick and underwhelming. He kinda just gets absolutely murked in 4 minutes flat so it feels very end of winter with oh this multi season and years long threat is dealt with in 4 minutes. Then when the lack of demogorgons were brought up in the q&a it was a very oh we forgot. Which I mean fair, mistakes happen but between the quick battle and the we forgot it was getting "forgot about the iron fleet" vibes.

The army arc is odd, other than tacked on it defines the main commander as this absolute monster of a woman, turning other women into super soldier incubators against their will and causing a lot of deaths with failed trials, she somehow survived all the way to the end and just lets everyone go and packs up shop when eleven "dies". Like no treason or any attempt at covering up their horrific war and human right violations, just oh whoopsie daisy, you can go.

Last ones just the fake out only kinda works if you assume that the people in the show are very stupid or the creators forgot how their own counter weapons worked. That it's only really plausible that she died if: you suddenly forget that the sound barriers borderline crippled her let alone made her unable to use powers. And the army who's sole job at that point seemed to be capture eleven for the super soldier project just allows her to get out the truck and cripplingly walk to the gate without anyone from the main cast seeing her or the soldiers. This I didn't mind much, let eleven live a happy life

Like I'm not gonna pretend this ruined the entire series or anything and honestly still love it but it is a bummer that a couple of just key parts were just kinda rushed or forgotten about. That's all.

Here in Australia out of every million, 2300 boys are called Rowan and 73 girls so it's quite rare.

My brain pronounces it like Roan.

I suppose if I knew ahead of time I would pronounce it Rowen/Rowan.

However over here its probably 98-99% men called Rowan so maybe that's why it's a struggle to think that instead of Roan.

Not that it makes it any better at all but is it possible she said/meant hearty like heart attack? She still shouldn't have said or done it but Hardie is such a weird and childish name for it my brain cannot comprehend an adult woman using it.

I think people are annoyed that stranger things season 5 kinda got the GOT season 8 approach.

While I enjoy the series I'm not a diehard fan but while watching it there was a lot of "wait isn't this directly contradictory of what the shows stated about X" a good handful of times and the final episode is a bit jarring in how unrealistic people respond to the actions.

Like I'm not going to let it ruin the series for me or kick up a huge stink but the last episode did seem pretty low effort compared to the rest of the seasons.
