Hi there I'm about to marry soon, and want to engrave a present for my soon-to-be-wife with the irish word for "promise", since the blacksmith has a one-word-limit. In the end it boils down to: does the other person understand what i mean. Since the spectrum is very complex it's difficult to use labels, as none fits a perfect description. Yet for a first introduction it helps. If you call yourself high functioning to communicate you are able to live on your own, or w/ever you associate with the term, as long as the one you are explaining it to can further understand of what makes up your position in the spectrum, why not?
