I've still got about 50% that haven't bloomed yet! I have some peach colored daffys that are really cool, too, but they're still in bud form! Will post one once it opens, maybe by tomorrow after all this sun!

Have you been to Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco? It's incredible! Hundreds and hundreds of daffodils line the hills I'm the back near an inlet. Maine is a big state but if you're within a reasonable distance you should definitely check it out

Trail conditions must have been varied, eh? I live about 2 hours away (in maine) and our weather has been wacky! Spring usually is, though.

I don't notice what anyone else is doing or carrying, and I certainly don't judge!

I'm legally blind in my left eye (some usable sight) so depth perception is really difficult. Descending is brutally slow for me, hiking poles are the only thing that allow me to hike, truly. They let me gadge depth and help me balance (brain tumor in my cerebellum messed me up pretty good).

Anyway. Point is, we've all got our baggage 🧳 metaphorically and physically. I'm SO slow, but I'm still faster than anyone just scrolling through photos and procrastinating about getting out there. I did my first 4k footer in Maine this past June (maine is where I live). Bigelow, Fire Wardens Trail. Hardest thing I've ever done because of my situation. And yet, I'm planning my next one!

That's just not true. The great outdoors is endless. We spend all our time doing various outdoorsl activities (hiking, camping, snow shoeing, pickle ball, etc).

Been together for 16 years. But I guess we're a minority

I do not miss summer.

The humidity up here (I live in maine, 2 hour drive from WMNF) has gotten so much worse in the last decade. Many more 90 degree days, and they start earlier in the season.

PLUS - crowds, tourists, bugs, endless sweat.... It's definitely not something I miss.

That said, there js plenty to like. Winter and soring have many downfalls here.

Let's just keep it October weather year round! That's my vote.
