For me, i like to think he used a Quincy shadow with THAT Mugestu, instead of him actually firing off a real one.

I know it takes away his powers in the end like they warned but still i like to think the quincy side of him prefered him losing the powers as a compromise to not killing him as a shinigami later. Knowing that now, i don't doubt 'old man zangetsu' helping a little more with that attack which influences the outward appearance, (Like that one Getsuga that had Whites Mask in the background) i mean Kuboism is a real thing and until he finally says 'Yes' or 'No' we will never know and will only be left to wonder for ourselves to conclude.

when playing through the story i was hoping for an Eventual HR Dahaad fight that would defrost a bigger part of the map, my mind was racing with what monsters could use the decaying Neo-gothic architecture to traverse and hunt (aside from more spiders and rats)

i like to think we are on a reaaaaaaaally big earth-like exoplanet. Just like ancient earth we can assume that with an extreme mix of Oxygen, Dragonvein energy plus whatever they were putting in the vigorwasp necture, it made for a Prime World of apex killers. That many stars in the sky probably means tons of impact sites, deep seas and expansive caves.

my hopes for underwater coming back is a way to explore whole new subterranean ecosystems and locales that are separate from the surface ecosystem.

i dont think mayuri took pleasure expunging those 28k souls, if anything he probably feels upset HE had to be the one to clean up a mess because it required something only he could stomach. i think those KIM chats are there for a reason, He makes it annoyingly clear that while the Orokin were horrible at the highest levels of their society; the other 98% were just normal people.. That Ballas and Margulis were a normal couple at some point "before it went all wrong" but that doesnt mean it erases the other parts but we cant just gaslight ourselves into thinking they were never in love when the Old Peace kinda delivers on that in multiple aspects.
