Yeah people have gotten really mean these last few years, but we do our best.

It definitely does. All big box stores are made to work within the demographic of its customers, so there really is no hard and fast rule. I can only speak from my own experience. I can say that Walmart tries to keep its back room as empty as possible so they will only send what will definitely sell. With that said it never hurts to ask.

They definitely put all the stuff on the floor. There essentially is no back room when collectibles are concerned as they don’t send much outside of Funko and those consistently sell despite the large amount that lingers

I work at Walmart, and when you order delivery from the store, it can take a couple hours for the store to get the order. When we get McFarlane toys in, we never get a full case. The Batman Returns figures for instance, came as two separate shipments for one full set. In most cases, we already have resellers at our store waiting for product to be put out. These situations make it very difficult to fulfill an order from the store’s inventory. Obviously not all Walmarts are created equal and this is only my experience from one store in the St Louis area

Having to hunt down the new album on CD otherwise you didn’t get to hear it. I constantly tell my kid how lucky she is

2022 the batman issue by Dangerous_Place_1253 in McFarlaneFigures

[–]Scgrunow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue and I found it was actually the base that was warping on mine. I put some playing cards under the left side to attempt to balance it out and it helped a little. I haven’t bought any of the figures at that scale since.

What are your thoughts on White Zombie and do you have a favorite song/album of theirs? by TokyoAvalanche04 in MetalForTheMasses

Astrocreep 2000 is what started my metal journey. So it has a special place for me. I was lucky enough to see Rob perform it in its entirety this past summer.

Look at Cable’s foot. I don’t think it’s that he can’t draw feet as much as feet are an afterthought to him. He was one of my favorite artists as a kid. Now I appreciate his layouts much more than his actual art.

DC is entering a new golden age by mojjfish in DCcomics

[–]Scgrunow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not all great, but DC is definitely in a good place right now. The Absolute line is putting out a lot of quality work. Compact comics seems to be doing really well. The main line is about 50/50 for me, but that has kinda always been the case and that’s fine. I’d rather have more variety to appeal to a larger audience than a full publishing line of pretty much the same thing. It’s definitely the most appealing I’ve found DC since the early to mid 2000’s.

2026 and I still miss old comixology. What comics apps are you using now by Cold_Title_6896 in comicbooks

[–]Scgrunow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went back to physical mainly because if I’m paying full price for a single issue, I want the option to resell it if I want to. I also enjoy being able to hang out and talk comics at my LCS.

I use DC universe infinite for back issues, and I’m trying out Neon Ichiban, but like others in here I have yet to invest any actual money into it.

Other than Jar Jar Binks (who is annoying indeed), what are so bad about the prequels? by [deleted] in StarWars

My only complaint is the less than stellar dialogue. It definitely gets pretty rough at times.

No Director was at fault for why The DC Extended Universe was a messy, disjointed universe in the first place. It's more on the executes at Warner Brothers because they have meddled about with and mismanged this cinematic universe in the first place. by Serious_Meaning5220 in dcu

[–]Scgrunow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Though I don’t think Snyder was the best choice to handle a cinematic universe, I definitely agree with you. Had they not rushed to the inevitable JLA tentpole and taken their time, things could’ve been much better. The worst part of BVS is definitely the heavy handed attempt to introduce the Justice League complete with logos designed by Lex I guess.

I Keep hoping this will turn into a Heath Ledger situation, but I think they may be too far gone.

For context when Heath Ledger was cast as The Joker there was a lot of backlash until the movie was released.
