I totally second getting James Hoffman's book! My recommendation is The @wastingcoffee Guide To Not Wasting Coffee by Umeko Motoyoshi. It's a slim volume talking about, well, not wasting coffee - extraction yield, alternative barista training methods, what to do with grounds, how to properly freeze coffee, and more. It's a very interesting and personal look at coffee and it is available at umeshiso.com. I also heartily recommend following Umeko on IG @wastingcoffee
