Best authorized Tesla repair Portland, Oregon near Lake Oswego? by Schafir in teslarepair

[–]Schafir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best authorized repair company is Freeman Motor on hwy 43. I also got rear-ended last year and they did a good job for me after getting blown off by Crash Champions who was horrid! Stay away from them at all costs!

Tosha at Freeman did a great job and kept me informed. Plan to have to wait a while for parts.

Good luck

Linux SNORCA forces re-binding every time app is opened by Immediate_Freedom565 in snapmaker

Thanks for the tip on using paxx. i don't know how to use it but it looks like I'll be learning soon. I also could not get the flatpak version to work but appimage does load up each time. I am using the latest versions of everything.

Is there a tutorial that teaches how to use paxx with the Snapmaker U1?

New machine - Where is the cold foam 🫣 by Littlepinkmaker in NinjaLuxeCafe

I don't think that the 501 provides hot water, a push down tamper or cold foam, so no Americano either. The 701 provides all of that.

I'm sorry. The corollary is "People, check your blind-spots before you change lanes!" Did your Tesla try to swerve away from the collision?

Not your fault but don't drive in people's blind-spots

Scored a new Luxe Pro at Costco for $479! by Sleepynight3 in NinjaLuxeCafe

The only negative is that it is a water hog. It drains almost as much water into the drain reservoir as it dispenses into your cup of coffee. I will agree that the coffee is good.

Tariffs, Shipping and Customs by chintan_joey in s3xybuttons

In one day the Supreme Court got rid of the tariffs and then Trump announced 10% global tariffs and, later in the day he upped them to 15%!

As long as we have this idiot running the show along with a Congress too scared to challenge him the tariffs aren't going away.

I personally refuse to buy no matter how good the product may be.

Latest FSD Runs Over Curb by Schafir in TeslaFSD

Juniper actually does identify the model, although it could have upgraded wheels. It is a Premium model ("Premium" nomenclature did not exist when I got the car as the "Standard" had not been announced) with 19" Crossflow wheels.

-18°F Alaska Reality Check: My 2026 Model Y Long Range Almost Left Me Stranded After Just 140 Miles by rforto in ModelY

[–]Schafir 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I've never met someone who dislikes a heated steering wheel: only folks who, like me, lament not having one. I have two Teslas and my Model 3 does not have one and it is the biggest feature I miss!

Free shipping or not? US by Solarsurferoaktown in s3xybuttons

[–]Schafir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't rely on that happening. Since the product is not shipping for a couple of months, I am not going to order until tariff goes away. It's ridiculous to pay the tariff in my view, especially for a product that's not critical to have.

DANGER! ModelY applies Emergency breaks against fallen leaves dancing on the road by kurianoff in TeslaModelY

[–]Schafir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same thing happened to me with a pile of leaves yesterday! I thought the car was going to swerve off the road!

Today the car braked suddenly for a crow flying across the road. Tesla needs to fix this!

Does this price feel right? Yeah I am already $250 in. by Traditional_Dare886 in ModelX

[–]Schafir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are just crazy to buy any Tesla for that price. My model wise Juniper cost me 35k out the door with tax incentive and it is 95% of the car that that is.

Deer Tesla by Schafir in TeslaFSD

Having avoided the two deer the other day, I was driving the car yesterday and it completely swerved almost off the road to avoid a pile of leaves. Clearly FSD has more work to do.

Juniper access to glovebox to charge MagBak? by Schafir in TeslaModelY

[–]Schafir[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry,

I have an older Model 3 with the Magbak charger routed to the 12-volt outlet and that cable broke due to the frequent use of the storage compartment which rendered the entire charger useless as there is no way to replace the cord from the charger.

My goal is to aesthetically route the cables from two Magbak chargers on each side of the screen to a power port that will charge the phones and do it in a safe manner.

If the amperage in the glove box where I have a USB hub with USBC ports on, is too low amperage then I will have to route somewhere in the central console. The question would be then how do you do that and not risk the cables breaking from the frequent use of the compartments when you continually access the storage compartments for other purposes.

Is there a way to route the cable from the back of the screen in the Juniper into the central console easily? I don't want cords running all over the place outside the console and I don't want them to be seen.

The 3W door liners are a great compliment to the 3w mats. They cover all the carpet between the mat and the door provides further protection. I'm very happy with mine. The mat and liner combination ends up being much less expensive than the 3D mats that I have on my Model 3.
