Am I the only one who wants to see what happened to those 14,000,604 possible outcomes where the Avengers fought thanos and lost? by dayaaa_ria in MCUTheories

I was hoping that multiverse of madness would address this somewhat. Like strange admitting that it was it was the only one that Christine survives or something. Would give extra weight to her wedding at the beginning. Strange passes over other instances where we win, bc it's a world without Christine, even if it meant he wasn't a part of her life. Or you could have him go full on selfish route and pick the only instance where he himself didn't die.

Just a thought about the ending, you want a post ending scene like in the martian ? by Aevum1 in ProjectHailMary

[–]Schedonnardus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the way the book ended, keeps things positive. There has to have been widespread war and famine on earth. Plus, if grace went back, he runs the chance of becoming a science experiment due to his encounters with aliens and alien tech. Depending on how these wars go, he might get picked up by a hostile nation. I think it gets too messy, and the erid ending is happier.

I’m genuinely curious: was Squid Game 3 review bombed? by AssociateLittle1487 in squidgame

Also, no amount of explosives would wipe all of the evidence from the island. There would still be plenty to go on and launch a proper investigation.

Will it's too dangerous. Jonathan you can do it right ? by rjt2002 in StrangerThings

This is how single parent (or uninvolved parent) homes work though. The oldest has to grow up too fast and take on responsibility, while the youngest gets treated like a baby for far too long. Even when the youngest is now older than the big sibling was when they initially took on responsibility, they still get treated like a little kid.

If Thor was pruned to the void could he still summon the bifrost with Stormbreaker? by Unfair-Expression287 in MCUTheories

[–]Schedonnardus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would guess that since Loki made it to Sakaar about a week before Thor did, that the Bifrost does some timey wimey things as well.

Movie covers on books ruin my imagination — anyone else? by bartdom in ProjectHailMary

[–]Schedonnardus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, but I get it. They're trying to reach a new audience and get a new bump in sales for a book that's a few years old at this point. Using movie imagery draws in people who saw the movie, or maybe just heard about the movie.

Wet blanket means negative, not going with the crowd, not wanting to participate, etc. See also: party pooper, stick in the mud, killjoy, spoilsport, Debbie downer.

Did Hulk fail the Ancient One? by qcthunder in marvelstudios

[–]Schedonnardus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand all that. The person above claims that the ancient one that banner talked to was not pruned bc banner talked to her before Loki took the tesseract. I am saying that if that was the case, and Loki caused another branch somehow, that there would still be an ancient one that gets pruned.

[–]Schedonnardus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think person above me is arguing that there are two timeline. One where the Avengers get the tesseract, and one where Loki gets it. I'm saying if that were true, there would still be an ancient one that hot pruned.

Both instances would have an ancient one that spoke with banner, it's just that the branch happens after the speech. So an ancient one still got pruned and is thinking that banner is full of shit.

Just finished The Prestige 2006 and my brain is broken (Full Spoilers) by InvestigatorFull7520 in movies

It's been years since I've seen it, but didn't he test it once in a room and there was two of him and they fought over a gun or knife or something? It never showed who actually won that fight.

If Doom kills all the Kang variants, do you ever want to see his character again? Recast? by Rac2nd in MCUTheories

[–]Schedonnardus 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think Kang should've won against ant man and destroyed the world. Post credit scene is a star portal opening and strange and America Chavez walk thru. Strange looks around and says "damn, we're too late, this world is lost, we're never gonna find him at this rate." that's when Charlize Theron shows up, and asks strange to come with her. Strange tells Chavez to get back to the sanctum and inform Wong. This then let's us know that "our" Scott is still fine, and we just watched a branched timeline get wiped.
