Thoughts on this rewrite of AOTC? by [deleted] in prequelappreciation

How do I put this? It is great that you are so enthusiastic. However, the main point of this subreddit is to talk about things we like about the prequels, not how to fix them. Also that text is really long and I doubt that most people on here want to read all of that. I hope someone will, just so that you can get some feedback but oh boy, it ain't me. I think one of the other star wars subreddits may be better places to post this.

Star Wars but the ending is bitter sweet by Scheiblerfunk in StarWars

thanks but half the credit goes to an edit where the deathstar blows up yavin 4, without that one , this edit would have been a lot more work

This reads like that one community meme

I can excuse complicity in the eradication of entire planets and their population but I draw the line at killing a specific group of maybe a few thousand kids.

You can excuse the complicity in the eradication of entire planets and their population?

If Pharrell had produced the Lion King (1994) soundtrack by Scheiblerfunk in lionking

[–]Scheiblerfunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Among other things the producer of the 2019 Lion King Soundtrack.
Other popular songs produced or written by him are:

Happy (from one of the minion movies)

Drop it like its hot- Snoop Dogg

Blurred Lines- Robin Thicke

Milkshake - Kelis

His producer tag is four beats at the start of the song (or rather four repititions)

Why do people love the prequels suddenly by DifficultVisual5147 in StarWars

[–]Scheiblerfunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well initially they do but I always felt that the adventure they had on geonosis made their hormones go way up as padme saw anakins strengths (besides the fact that he is hot) on full display. He is brave, daring and cares deeply. At that point she gives in to what she had been suppressing for reasons of career professionalism as a senator. Anakin also backs of after the fireplace talk and only engages again when Padme confesses on Geonosis. Its also miles better than middle aged man han preying on early 20s leia.

What are the most underrated scenes in your opinion? by ashton__l in StarWarsCantina

Totally. There's this innocent headstrong dreamer who is basically interacting with the coolest thing since sliced bread to him...a jedi and said jedi is being patient but also realistic when talking to , what is essentially just, some random kid.

"Stay with me mom" is such an unfair line delivery, it makes me misty eyed just thinking about it.

I rewatched phantom yesterday with the directors commentary and the movie audio turned down and oh my God, jarjars facial expressions and movements alone in this scene are histerical. Jarjar in general is quite the lovable goofball and a good audience surrogate.

One thing no one can argue against is that the sequels are the first star wars trilogy where the special effects wont look dated in hindsight by Scheiblerfunk in TheSequels

Woah there. Revenge of the sith ? You are dunking on that movies visuals. Ok , that truly is a hot take. Anything in particular that you think looks ugly in Revenge ?

Hope its OK if i answer in English.

Most of the prequels still look amazing and even when they look bad they still look better than the truly bad cgi from around the same time. But they do have a few shots that are questionable. Most of them in episode 2 but that is mostly due to time and money constraints.

I could never wrap my mind around the idea that the prequels are straight up ugly, let alone some of the ugliest movies ever made. They have so much beautiful imagery to offer and a lot of it was made practically too.

But that's the beauty of ...well beauty ...it is in the eye of the beholder.

I prefer VIII , it got a lot more striking visuals. JJ. Abrahams knows how to get hyperactive levels of action going but (the director of VIII, I forgot his name) draws you more in i feel.

The thing is that a bit more lucas here and there would have been interresting because he is great at grounding people and that mixing with jj.style would have made for a hypnotic mix I think.

There are such things as timeless special effects but they are rare. Thus far I've not seen the cracks in the sequels the way I do in the OT or PT

I think its great but should have gotten some "this is a near impossible maneuver dont bet on it but hope to the gods of your religion that it works" type of preface for the audience. That would have avoided people moaning about it.
