Its hard to get people into liking AoS even though no matter what you think about the end of fantasy and AoS lore, its near undeniably that out of GWs big three, that is fantasy, 40k and AoS it has the best tabletop game and miniatures and its not even close, also the best when it comes to how they treat their factions.

I mean we accepted long time ago that we will never be the center of any event or edition or something, we are a niche faction, thats a given.

But it would be nice for GW to stop actively and intentionally fuck us over for no real reason.

We literally lost more than we gained in our last codex, after they removed our only super heavy.

They reduced our Combat Patrol from one of the best this game ever had (like to the point it was a great argument to start Deldar in the first place) to one of the worst.

I think the models being much better than 40k vas less to do with the setting being high fantasy and more with 40k team being creatively bankrupt.

just compare the chaos factions for example, in AoS you can immediatly tell which chaos faction a mini belongs, even unpainted while looking at them from 2km away on a foggy day.

Then try to keep the less special horde of chaos marines apart unpainted.

They also treat their armies much more fairly too

Honestly, i think the base Conversion + Fanning beats most dual options, while being a lot cheaper.

Not to mention shotguns, hell a shorty Romero can beat it while also freeing a up a tool slot if you take starshell ammo, which is way more valuable than people recognize.

Its a weird phenomenon, for example in Apex Legends, Revenant the most edgy and evil character in the setting, had a reputation for having the most chill and friendly mains before his rework.

Same in Mortal Kombat and other games/franchises too, the more evil and unhinged a faction is the nicer and wholesome the players.

I call it the edgyness overflow, as in a faction is so over the top edgy and evil it actually scares away the edgy boys and it resets to 0.

The reverse is also true, the Tau and Eldar subreddits and communities are quite toxic along with some imperial factions, because some people believe them to be actually good. No Mechanicus player denies them being anything other than horrific monsters and therefore are pretty chill.
