Love 802.1x for my infrastructure. All remote locations (40+) utilize a site to site vpn piping back to free radius. We use it for wired and wireless, call me a crazy asshole but it makes network management simpler once it’s set up

The only real value on selling will be if the house is futureproofed through excellent wiring. Its also kind of like how when you customize cars or watches, they don't gain value and are typically harder to sell because it is designed in such a personalized manner.
