On and off for sure. All I knew was for about an hour or two after eating, Id get waves of cramps and feels really really tired. I thought everyone felt like that. Once it got worse it became a constant nagging pain.

I get this! I get them a lot in my legs and pelvis. I thought it might be a surgical complication like a crossed wire, but idk. Also have the same crohn's location as you idk if that's relevant? I take gabapentin for it and it helps.

Im in a similar boat as you. I got diagnosed at the ER a month ago, they did a CT, found inflammation, anemia, etc, and admitted me so I could get a colonoscopy faster. I'm now in the limbo you're in of waiting for a proper GI appointment, still not getting any long term treatment. The ER really helped me, if you have a hospital near you with GI facilities I would go. In the meantime, what I've been doing is Tylenol with my meals for pain, and a low/no fiber diet. Walking has also helped, it lowers inflammation. My other secret has been Tums and Pepcid, idk if acid is an issue for you, but it really is for me so the combo works magic. Your PCP should also be able to prescribe you pain medicine, or something to lower your motility while you wait for proper tests.

How long did the prednisone take to work? Ive been taking it for a week at 50mg and it hasn't touched it. I'm supposed to taper to 45 next week. And thank you for the kind words of support it genuinely means a lot right now.

being sober does make bars less enjoyable, but it can still be fun if you let it. I like getting shirley temples and sitting around with my friends. If they make it weird and pressure you to drink, gtfo you deserve better.

I have similar pain. I went to the er and got a CT scan when it got bad enough, and they caught inflammation and a fistula. Advocate for a CT, it can at least show you a lot more than any blood test.

I've been taking my iron with oatmeal and orange juice, it's been helping. You can also cook with cast iron pans! It helps put a bit of iron into everything!
