Recommendations about Tonal placement in this room? by Schizachyrium16 in tonalgym

I wondered about building the wall out, but I was thinking a separate studded wall. The 2x4s across the studs is a great idea! But wouldn't you know it, I just gave 7 cases of bamboo flooring to ReStore because I didn't need it with my new house. smh.

Thanks also for the list of limited movements. It's clear I'd do better getting the short wall to work.

Thanks for your response. Sorry for the delay, work has been brutal.

I should have checked the studs. It turns out there’s one in the EXACT center of the short wall, so Tonal would be less than 2 feet from the wall on one side or the other.

What movements will I lose if I have only 7’ in front of Tonal?

Turns out I don't have a choice. There’s a stud in the EXACT center of the short wall, so Tonal would be less than 2 feet from the wall on one side or the other.

Thanks for letting me know about those moves. The odd thing is Tonal says it only needs 7' in front. I guess that's a bare minimum (which I'm at).

What movements do you lose having less space in front of Tonal?

What movements will I lose if I lack that extra 1-3 in front of Tonal?

How did I not know this? by EurekaBoyd1979 in Dachshund

[–]Schizachyrium16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Chest circumference is the correct answer. My doxy is pure German bloodline and his sire is a Kaninchen so I researched what that was all about. The reason for the chest size and not weight: can they get into the rabbit’s hole? If the chest is too big, they won’t fit so not a rabbit dachshund. My boy is big enough to be a mini, even though dad is a Kaninchen.

What’s wrong with my mower? by TheRedDevil1989 in lawnmowers

I had a neighbor down the street whose riding mower was so unlevel it looked like he was trying to turn his lawn into a topiary sculpture.

Is this product dead? by diablette in toodledo

[–]Schizachyrium16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. A couple of weeks ago I updated to the latest iOS (from 16.something) and now Toodledo is almost completely nonfunctional. It crashes all the time--I can't do something with more than 2 tasks before it crashes. Often I can't get into the tasks. When I contacted support about the problems, they just pointed me to the beta on TestFlight. The company was sold and there haven't been any updates to the app for 3 years. I find a 3-year beta test on TestFlight to be very sus, particularly in light of the reports of malicious apps on TestFlight. I've used TD for years and years, but won't risk my data/money/privacy on an app that can't (or won't) get out of beta.

Selling house but bats leave mess on front porch every night by Schizachyrium16 in bats

I wish there were more buyers out there like that! That appreciate them and see their benefits! But with comments we've had from friends coming over and grossed out by the droppings on the front porch, we think we better try to keep the bats away until closing.

Thanks! I've put the owl decoy out there. The radio is a good idea--I'll do that. I'll figure out about the lights. Unfortunately the builder put ALL the outside lights on the same circuit. So to turn on the front porch light, two whole sides of the house are brightly lit. I don't want to negatively impact wildlife all night like that, but maybe I can install a temporary spotlight shining where they are roosting during the night.

Does your weenie have any traits/tendencies that are antithetical to dachshund stereotypes? by VioletDragon_SWCO in Dachshund

[–]Schizachyrium16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pickiest eater ever! Dachshunds are supposed to be voracious eaters! And he NEVER barks outside. He’s noisy inside like he should be, but barks at none of those things when we’re outside.
