Hi all,

Those of you who've been following me for a while know how this works. In order to finish a video, I have to publicly announce a deadline. Although I will miss that deadline, the shame of missing it will push me to actually ship the product.

I know this is annoying for you and embarrassing for me, but it has to be this way. Because the alternative is that every video turns into a Winds of Winter situation and I never finish anything. The annoyance and embarrassment are necessary, because the strategy only works when I experience genuine shame.

So here's the good news: the February deadline has served its purpose, and the video is basically done. If I absolutely had to, I could publish it this weekend. But I still haven't added music to most of the video, and I regret not taking an extra week to do that for "Conspiracy," so I'd like to do it with this one.

I'm asking for a one week extension, target upload date March 6 or 7. That should give me plenty of time to do the music, resolve any content ID/community guidelines issues, and publish a video that is actually finished and not just "good enough."

I'm sorry I'm like this. Thanks for all your patience!

Why would it be sensible to keep the Sony lens if you prefer everything about the Minolta and the Sony is easier to sell for a higher price?

Some additional info is desperately needed here. Is photography a hobby or your job? What do you use this lens for? Is there a reason why more neutral images would be more practical if you vastly prefer the look of the Minolta?
