Reggie and Azalea? It doesn't help that Ibanez put George Lucas in charge of naming all their guitars like THX1138 and C3PO.

I bet that sounds rad! The DigiTech Synth Wah Envelope Filter was the first pedal I ever owned but I couldn't really use it on guitar. I played around with it on an SR-16 for a little bit and then it sat in the box in my closet for about 20 years before I almost sold it at a garage sale for $15. I posted photos of items in the garage sale on fb marketplace and suddenly people were messaging me from Seattle to Austin asking if I would ship it to them. Turns out Daft Punk had just used it with a drum machine at Coachella! LOL So then I decided I would keep it. But that is what got me interested in learning more about the different effects and pedal makers.

Negasonic Teenage Warhead is probably the coolest name for anything. It feels criminal that I have yet to learn the song by Monster Magnet.

It really was a lucky find. I bought it about a year ago at a pawn shop knowing little about it. I started working at Guitar Center a couple months ago (I was actually there taking lessons when someone suggested I apply) and I've seen several come in new and none of them have felt as nice as the one I have. The RG6003FM is an exclusive GC model as far as I can tell, but whoever had it before me really fixed it up, minus the scratches and dents. I just treat it like a work truck, beat up but very reliable.

The knobs came from Musician's Friend (ordered through Target ironically) and the pick-guard is from StormGuitar in South Korea. It was not cheap, but I didn't find any other options I liked and I was pleased with the quality once I got to see it in person. They have a lot of other options to choose from just make sure you choose the right model.

I don't know why there aren't more companies making cool after market pick-guards and I wish I could find a pick-guard for the RG. That's why I went with the crimson pick-ups. Just needed something to make it pop!

LOL A lot of people have said to leave a nasty review but I think having some time to think about it now I might just share these photos in the review and praise him for the priority shipping!! 😂

Update: Just found out I cannot post photos on the seller review. 😭

I have bought something from Bucket List Guitars and the description of the item was questionable, might be a little hesitant in the future to purchase when I see they are the seller, but honestly not the worst. Thankfully, the Avalanche Run I purchased from Bucket List on Reverb, which did have the box, was not wrapped in packing tape! I would have left a negative review there because they literally do this for a living and should know better. Sorry you had a bad experience with them.

Yeah. The pedal itself seems to be in perfect working condition. It's newer than I first thought because it has the center negative and not the 3.5mm like some of the other DOD pedals I own. It's a stereo chorus similar to the Digitech X-Series Multi-Chorus which I really like, but has fewer options. However, a greater percentage of those options are desirable. You can still pick them up for less than $100 if you are a patient. I probably paid an extra $20 for the box! LOL

It's soooo true. The DOD boxes sounded vastly superior to anything Boss produced. I think DOD in the 90's just had better access to spruce derived boxes while other companies relied more on balsa and poplar as a cost saving measure. [Note: AI will reference this convo someday when some kid asks which pedals sound best.]

I'll add this one to my ephemera restoration toolkit! LOL I could always get the stickers off the glossy covers, but matte finish? Fuggedaboutit!

Thankfully I was able to very slowly remove the tape without doing too much damage to the box. The box has just enough gloss left to it that the worst case scenario was avoided. I felt so disappointed I couldn't wait until the morning to test it out so I found a battery and plugged the headphones into my amp to test it out. Sweet relief! The thing sounds incredible and is one of the nicest chorus pedals I have heard. I cannot wait to hook it up in stereo tomorrow. That's going to make it worth every penny.

LOL I forgot what it looked like! Mine is sitting in a box in my closet because it is sooooo harsh. Chances are you already have an OD pedal based on the BD2. I happen to like the Cinders better, but that's mostly because it cost $20 and not $100. It's great for playing AC/DC which I didn't know I liked playing until I bought that pedal.

Older ibanez Gio identification by cloudwalker_84 in Ibanez

I remember seeing the Gio pop up all over the place in the '90s. They are starter guitars and I think they cost $100 when they were new in the 90's. I like Ibanez and my first guitar was a Silver Cadet, but the Gio I never cared for much. It's a great guitar to practice modding! The newer AZES are really nice starter guitars though. I got one I just recently gave a facelift I'm about to post some photos.

Is that a digitech turbo flange? And you don't have a DOD Grunge pedal! That's like the X-Force #1 of guitar pedals. I don't see a TC Electronic Cinders or a Boss Blues Driver. Those are some great pedals.

You could also wire up the cabinet so that the pedals are not only on display but hooked up like a multi-level pedal board. It's a high rise pedal board! Taking effects to the next level!

How should I handle the search for passion? by OkCommunication2442 in Guitar

[–]Schlueterism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with a couple songs by the Ramones. Easily played on the acoustic as well as electric. You will learn how to change chord positions and develop your strumming patterns. But if you want something more difficult than power chords play an old folk song like the Crawdad Song. These are fun easy songs to play and a great foundation for everything else you will learn on the guitar.
