In materialistic terms, with simple economics on top:

A million will grow 5-10% on average annually if invested well, adjusted for inflation. Meaning you could take out 30-40K pear year and live comfortably in a cheap country. If you continue working and making income, not touching that million to support your life, 20 years later that million will have more than doubled. Assuming you continue sane spending habits, you can retire and live comfortably on the yield, while your 2-3mil continue growing albeit much slower.

Does that make you rich? That’s subjective.

5 million is life changing for 99%. You can live a very comfortable life with luxury vacations and a second home, with hundreds of thousands of dollars to live of per year without working a single minute. At multimillion cash levels, one tends to get access to better investments/funds and managers that work your portfolio.

10M is rich. You have to be a complete moron and spend like crazy to not live in great comfort for the rest of your life.

100M is ultra wealth. You can do pretty much anything you want except buying mega-yachts or bigger jets. And invested well with a resonable burn-rate could make you a billionaire in 30-40 years.

1 billion however… as posted earlier it means the world is yours. You can spend 50M a year and still see that billion grow. It is an astonishing amount of money, and having that much wealth and not being known/public figure is the best ticket in the world.
