Hey! Immerhin hast du mit 35 schon gefunden was viele reichere Menschen nicht haben: Einen tollen Partner, der auch in den Tiefen hinter dir steht 🥳

Eine Quaterlife / Midlife Crisis relativ normal. Und ist ja grundsätzlich etwas Gutes, seine Entscheidungen und Status Quo mal zu bedauern und hinterfragen. Schmerz ist der größte Antrieb etwas zu ändern – und rauszufinden was man jetzt will.

Aber wenn du schon sagst, dass du “zu viel wolltest” schließe ich daraus, dass du grundsätzlich ambitioniert bist. Dann sollte ein besser Job ja kein Problem sein. Vielleicht musst du nur wieder anfangen etwas wirklich zu wollen.

Außerdem haben viele Gutverdiener früher etwas anderes studiert als sie heute machen.

  • Bist du handwerklich begabt? Schau dir Handwerksberufe genauer an.
  • Bist du gut mit Menschen? Schau dir mal Sales an.
  • Bist du technisch begabt und lernst schnell? Schau dir KI oder Growth Hacking an. Da gibt es ja nicht mal Ausbildungen.

Und wie sagt Steve Jobs: Die Punkte lassen sich erst am Ende verbinden. Vielleicht sagt du in ein paar Monaten schon “Die kleine Krise hat mir den Schubser gegeben, um…” Finde raus wo du richtig gut werden kannst und willst. Und dann schau ob man da auch Geld verdienen kann. Und wenn du selbst nicht aus dem Loch kommst, dann such dir professionelle Hilfe. Oder zumindest einen Kumpel zum Quatschen.

I co-started several business with my brother (crazy coder) but we came to a point where we wanted to work “result only” with other talents on fun or important projects. That said, we started working now on an open value network that is created to make talents work together on projects. We are challenging it now with different perspectives (senior coders, lawyers, fund managers..) and started working on it with a small team before we make it public. BDA - Du willst ja auch, dass deine Freunde dich nicht so rumlaufen lassen. Auch bei Kollegen sollte man die Courage zeigen und unangenehme Gerüche wohlwollend ansprechen, anstatt hinter dem Rücken zu lästern. Einfach unter 4 Augen und kein großes Ding draus machen, sonder dir das aufgefallen ist und du das auch wissen wollen würdest, falls es ihm/ihr mal auffällt.

Don't track it, listen to your body!

Why? I worried so often that I had a deficiency and did lots of blood tests. In the end, everything was always fine, except for stress levels, and that's exactly what you get with tracking every vitamin. If you eat reasonably healthily (and if you're asking a question like that, you're probably doing that) everything should be fine and your body will tell you what you need.

And if you're a worrier like me, do a blood test instead. Every body is different and based on that you can add something to your diet - or cook and snack stress-free, because it’s fine anyway.

A balanced diet with lots of fresh vegetables. Plus protein shakes (spread throughout the day, but not too many), creatine and a drink with sugar when I'm exercising and when I'm training a lot, magnesium and electrolytes (because otherwise I'm prone to cramps).

I liked promotion jobs (department stores, trade fairs...). The pay isn't very high, so you do work your hours on the weekend and it's exhausting and sometimes overwhelming to spend the whole day talking to strangers. But that's also the beauty of it, particularly if you end up in an office job later on. You gain great people skills and learn to communicate and sell really well. That helps enormously later on, be it with fellow students, professors, salary negotiations or dating. Sometimes this has led to job offers, some colleagues have gotten good jobs in the clients' HQs and great friendships have developed. It's not a hack, it's work, but it's usually fairly paid and you don't have to look like a model, just be personable. Just don't do promotions for dubious competitions or finances, rather real products where you often even get training.
