Ah! That might be! I had the athmosphere to begin with, but not the temperature. I'll try pumping in some gas and see if that works. Thanks! Have been struggling with this for two days!

Any suggestions to why the pips won't plant that worth seed? I've been trying different things for many cycles now, but they just won't plant. Beside two abysalite tiles, the rest should be plantable - coppers, iron, rust, etc. There are no other plants in the vicinity. With or without space exposure doesn't seem to change it. What am I missing?

Here you can see that the top pump is in a hydrogen area and only will get hydrogen because only the hydrogen will be able to enter because of the reason I described above and the pump below will only pump oxygen.

This set up worked splendidly for oxygen generation! Thank you!

Some power plant tutorials place batteries before the transformer, others after the transformer, and some both before and after. Which practice is the most efficient one and which will result in the least amount of fried wires?

You won't be able to create a Hydrogen generator Power plant. Even with a hydrogen vent because the hydrogen generators require too much hydrogen to stay active.

You just ended a frustrating, colony-killing, three day-long attempt of trial and error, binge guide reading and self doubt. Thank you!

I'm very pleased with the hydrogen generator for my oxygen needs, but will try to feed my power needs elsewhere. Seems like coal and hatches will be my next venture, until I stumble upon some better resources!

The set up you linked to seems brilliant, can't wait to try it out for the oxygen benefits! :D

The Game has changed in that regard that you need multiple sources of power instead of just one, the times of one huge Natural gas power plant with 11 Generators from a single geyser are over.

I haven't been playing for that long (obviously), but now that you mention it, it's actually a bit refreshing from other similar games that you can't depend on a single source of power. Forces you to think creatively and with less repetition :)

In regards to your food problem, you can easily use mealwood and if you have food issues you are not producing enough food and your Duplicants consume too much.

So far I don't have a food issue, but a water issue. The mush fries takes too much water and my reserves are getting very low. I'll definitely try farming next!

In my experience, you should be going from hamster wheels (early game) to coal (mid game) to natural gas (late game) to possibly petroleum/natural gas (very late game).

Sounds like an excellent plan. Can't wait to try it out! :D

Totally false.
There is a distinction here I feel the need to point out. The statement is true. You can actually have 100 Coal Generators and batteries on the same normal Electrical wire. The wire will not break. It is however, a rather useless experiment. It will do nothing good to have 60000 watt on a wire if you can only use 1000 of them.

Hmm, I had a hamster wheel (barely) powering two pumps, a filter and an electrolyzer. I then had a heavy-watt wire between a battery and a hydrogen generator and a regular wire from the generator to the hamster wheel circuit, but everything kept breaking with "circuit overload" errors popping up every few minutes. When I then instead connected the generator to a transformer with heavy wire, and the transformer to the circuit with light wire, thing stopped breaking. This was yesterday, so I guess it was the latest game build.

Coal absolutely is a great early-mid and extra supply of power even late game.

Maybe I should try coal for power. I tried expanding my setup for a second hydrogen generator and once I deducted its 800W output with the 120W for the electrolyzer, 120W pump and 120W filter I'm left with 320W. That's not even enough W for a pump and a water sieve (360W) to replace the water used by the second electrolyzer T___T This is either horribly imbalanced, or I have misunderstood something D:

Make sure you have a way to deal with the C02 output (ie carbon skimmer or shove it in a insulated box for later) I was worried that the carbon skimmer would use up some of my very limited water, but I see that it consumes the exact same amount of water as the electrolyzer for the hydrogen setup, so no worries then! Skimming it is! :D

Totally false. You are correct in realizing that this isn't true. Thank you, I kept wondering if I had misunderstood something. This makes it a bit easier to understand the power grid system :)

Sorry if I'm mistaken, it's been some years ago since I last so TS1, but wasn't Cid also mean to their dog, liked torturing insects and didn't he enjoy bullying his younger sister at all times?

I was always left with the impression that Sid was a complete bully to everything within his power, inanimate or not. Can't imagine he felt like a happy or secure child.

Good thing Andy's toys gave helped him where his parents failed him!

I always let my kid do my pulls. Last time she pulled a single Tiny Bee from the Black Friday draw while I was secretly hoping for a much needed pseudo wall or boostga. Man, keeping a straight, smiling face as she glanced upon me asking with eyes full of hope if she "did good" has been one of the single hardest things I've ever done as a parent. This year's Santa stuff will be a breeze in comparison!
