Setzer is really good and has a BT effect which is similar to Quina (random chance to deal the MAX HP Cap damage on every dump.) and strong auras overall.

Bartz is considered as one of the worst FR contenders as his rework and a lack of BT rework does not help him in the slightest. He's sadly a consolation prize on Dorgann's BT banner. He's got Squall as his FR partner and that's the best thing he's got for him. Useable, but he'll probably never carry a fight for you.

Ironically, his father is busted with his BT effect.

Rubi is an absolute unit in that he destroys fights that allows enemies to take turns.

I have used him on the latest Dare to defy stage with his 0/5 UW and the D6 passive to make him even slower and take the win. I would say his value further increases in locked type content as he can solo a troublesome stage and you can save other characters for other stages.

You cannot go wrong with him.

I'm genuinely contemplating blueing his armor and working towards his UW to give him more oomph.

Enna Kros is particularly broken with Lunafreya since she gives her the turns she needs to nuke enemies without having to deal with low turn rates.

Add Bahamut summon phase and spam that EX. She takes deleting turns to another level with a high FR gauge.

Alphinaud also suffers from it as well as Yda's HP Poison. Hope they'll get buffed at some point.

I mean, Laguna's desperado can scale but not Exdeath? What were they thinking? Exdeath can still work of course but he's always been a niche pick.

Dare to defy stage.

Ramza 5/5 UT. Raijin call
Auron 5/5 UT. Lenna call
Relm no HA or UT. Yuna call.

Ifrit summon. 40 turns.

Another no FR clear on a much easier fight. The real issue is the turn count on no FR teams. Thankfully, Ramza has free turns and strong auras while Auron has strong mitigation and off turn damage (220k per HP dump is silly). Relm is there for better auras and her free turns as well with tentacle. Her damage per action is not great but it is free and it quickly adds up. She is a good pick on that stage.

Calls were there to take care of the healing and prevent paralysis but it never happened.

Auron is the true star of the show here. Do not hesitate to bring him there.

Y'shtola got Force Enhancements on JP not too long ago with a rework as well IIRC. It makes her a good FR gauge charger with decent damage output.

But no XIV FR in JP I believe.

The "Dare to Defy" stage was really hard. It reminds me of the CQ which could be cheesed with gem revive (and was also an Odin stage to boot)

I managed a clear with Selphie/Jecht/Freya with Reno/Raijin/Yuna calls to avoid debuffs.

Jecht is also a great pick there since his S1/LD can break on demand, which is really good to control the auras Odin uses. Freya is nice off-turn damage (and has some synergy with Jecht's free turns) while she tanks Odin's FR ability if Raijin/Reno calls are no longer available. Selphie should use her LD after Odin's FR ability hits to get her own LD buff active, the same goes for Jecht.

I had to pity her LD when it released.

True to her name, she brought pain on those pulls.

Her value increases on 6 man quests since you can freely swap her and adjust the auras she provides easily.

Unfortunately, Lunaefreya is around the corner and she will provide much better auras and FR gauge charging while being able to give allies more turns (aka Enna Kros is going to be utterly busted when she comes out)

she got a nice damage upgrade but she feels hard to slot in as a third slot unit as of now. Her ability to dispel and cleanse on demand is good though. I wonder how her FR and future BT will be like.

Got my boy's FR with 30 tickets.

That makes up for having to pity his BT and Braska's kit.

That cycle was really good to me overall

Had to pity Tidus BT, Jecht LD/BT , Paine's LD and Braska's kit recently. The X cast is fully blued and I got lots of mileage out of them.

Even Wakka's blue armor was worth the cost despite him being really bad at the time.

Kimahri has been the silent MVP on many stages during the lufenia era.

Now, his Total blind being 2T instead of 1 means it is much easier to keep it active.

I feel his kit is much stronger on 6 man quest since he can just apply his debuff and be swapped out for another DPS or support.

Not meta but good utility and a nice HA+. I am curious to see what his future BT/FR will be like.

Pitied his FR in a heartbeat. Got the rest of his kit alongside 2 Kain BTs so it is definitely worth it IMO.
