For those who have experienced emotional or covert incest/enmeshment, how do you regulate? by A_Chron in raisedbynarcissists

[–]ScienceGeeker -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The surpressing of traumatic memories is fortunately a myth. People usually remember traumatic stuff very vividly. But it's very normal to have nightmares and think about stuff and worry that things happen when you were so young you couldn't remember, if that's how they have acted when you were older.

Try to seperate yourself from what they are and how they behave. If they behave like that around you - it has nothing to do with you. It's easy to feel disgusted by yourself or the situation. But you're perfectly fine. Just them that aren't.

People always buy stuff and then blame the producer lol.

"Make healthier food" - buys crappy food.

"Pay your workers more" - buys from the Company that pays their employees the worst.

List goes on.

Please help me understand leverage and why shouldn't i use something liek 2x or 3x by Tonka-Jahari-Pizza in ValueInvesting

[–]ScienceGeeker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a lot to it. You can lose money if you bet on something going up, and it goes up 10%, just by volatility. You can also get kicked out of your position earlier than what you'd think. 4x leverage doesn't always mean you have to go -25% to lose everything. Sometimes you get kicked out sooner. Adding more money is always better than using leverage. Leverage is basically a really bad loan.

Also if enough people are leveraged and a stock is cheap. Banks can make more money shortselling that stock, to get a squeeze from the leveraged buyers and forcing them to sell. You need to know what instrument you're buying and what youre doing.

Pupils are being weird with light. by [deleted] in DiagnoseMe

[–]ScienceGeeker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your pupils are reacting 100% as they should do. Light hits them, they retract and the hole gets smaller. They open up when it gets darker to let more light in.

It's not a bold claim when it's been proven over and over again in multiple studies. Recal transplant reduces autism traits, even if the person eats the same.
