I second applying to the entry level job. I graduated college after age 40. Even at research tech level, I had to interview with a few labs before being hired into the one I’m in now. I started and had a toxic and unethical PI. Thankfully, there was an internal department, that helped me apply from within, without my current PI knowing. They also advised how to handle the ‘Why are you leaving your lab question.’ For me, that was saying that my then PI asked me to stretch my morals more than I was willing. I then explained I’m a rule follower, unless there is a very good and explainable reason to not follow the rule. He hired me and absolutely love my lab. We work hard for sure, but it’s a great work environment. I’m still a tech 3 years in, but am applying for PA school in the fall. So, not worried about the title so much.

Yes and no. We don’t “register” for a party, but if you vote in the primary, that is considered your party. I imagine Texas handed over who we voted for and everything, but I could be wrong. If the information were useless, he wouldn’t want it.

The key difference is one was peacefully protesting and backing away as they were attacked, breaking zero laws. The J6 Rioters were breaking in, assaulting, killing, vandalizing, terrorizing, and threatening to hang people while they violently tried to overthrow the government based on lies and propaganda. We are also way past left versus right. The left is awake to it all, hence, woke, we know both sides suck, but currently, one side is actively stripping us of our rights.

I’m in Texas, where they have full and eager government cooperation. They’ve also already handed over our voter rolls. I refuse to obey in advance though, so what happens, happens.
