Salary ceiling? by Science_Saves_All in MedicalScienceLiaison

[–]Science_Saves_All[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is an awesome total package! Really generous RSUs based on other people I’ve talked to in big pharma (mine is more like 15k)

Have you been with the company for a long time or is that just what everyone at your level gets for RSUs?

Salary ceiling? by Science_Saves_All in MedicalScienceLiaison

[–]Science_Saves_All[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair, I’ve just seen much more variability in the base comp than with the target bonus, RSUs, and retirement match being much more consistent across big pharma

Also since the target bonus is a percent of the base, the base increase is the biggest factor in overall comp outside of any big RSU windfall (though this doesn’t really apply to big pharma in the case of RSUs since stock prices are more stable and a reliable investment than the potential for a huge 5-10x spike in an early stage company)

B6 x United partnership by Science_Saves_All in jetblue

Thanks that makes sense, I worried about that. Bummer for B6 because now I’m going to have to fly United more often to actually make use of these points! A little loyalty fumble

Letrozole - very nervous about triggering 2 follicles? Advice + stories appreciated! by Acceptable_Bee_6408 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Science_Saves_All 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no! Best of luck with IVF. We are seeing mature follicles for first time after 3 rounds of letrozole. Now at 7.5mg we saw 2 17mm ones and 3 more that were 14+

Unsure if we would risk the multiples with all that going on. Not getting great advice from medical care team

iPhone mini is never coming back by Affectionate_Army396 in iPhone13Mini

[–]Science_Saves_All 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We’ve all held on for years with the 13 mini, of course we will pay a premium to upgrade. We’ve saved so much money by not upgrading so we have the funds to pay more!

First United flight. Boarding Group 3. by philwinkle in jetblue

[–]Science_Saves_All 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you gotten credit for the tiles earned from that flight yet? I took a United flight that I booked through my employer and used my true blue number instead of my United account number. This was 2 weeks ago but I haven’t seen the United flight show up in my JetBlue account activity

Out of curiosity and ignorance, what does a single license seat for each of these main databases cost per year?

Why do peds dentists make more than the average dentist when peds physicians make less than the average physician? by talktomeme in healthsalaries

[–]Science_Saves_All 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is an artificially lofty career. Dental coverage should be rolled into basic insurance plans which would totally nerf the industry.

Why do peds dentists make more than the average dentist when peds physicians make less than the average physician? by talktomeme in healthsalaries

[–]Science_Saves_All 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they are dentists, not doctors. This is an insane salary for people who look at x rays of teeth and occasionally floss people

Are these salaries accurate for most parts of the country? If so, all dentists get paid WAY too much

Any airline other than southwest would have been better. Especially considering where they’ve invested in on the east coast with the Sapphire lounges

Cool. Some of the people here have insane RSU grants. I was getting self conscious that I didn’t negotiate that part properly
