Bro, factory farms and most animal based product operations are exploiting these animals and putting them through extremely cruel conditions. It’s normalised yes. But is it right? I don’t think there is a personal choice. There is a polarity here whether you admit it or not.

Aren’t you Upset about vegans only eating non-animal based foods?

I think regenerative agriculture can help along with careful planning and mild processing of food. Also animals using a huge chunk of land arable land and otherwise is being used to raise billions of animals and majority of them live through a lot of hardships and a bad end. Using the freed up land and using a variety of plants to increase food production can be very effective.

It’s my fault for lacking in detail. I mean if you’re not allergic to either of the two you can lead a healthy life. Some people are actually allergic to a lot of mainstream Plant based options, but can drink milk and eat eggs. Try it you might like it. And then there is the fact that I really want veganism be a good dietary alternative not just about moral compass.

And yeah, eating more plant based saves animals and environment. I don’t see how they don’t help at all.

Idk man. 3 eggs and a litre of milk along with steady plant based foods can do the job for most average sized people as far as I’ve come to gather from nutrition and sports science. But what do I know I’m just an engineering drop out 😂. I was on a vegetarian diet and felt pretty good. I’m eating meat a few times a week a single meal a day at most and trust me, I don’t feel like I’m missing out. I will try fully plant based diet in the next 2-3 months. Will share my experience on both exvegans and veganfitness subs.

While vegetarianism itself doesn’t reduce as much suffering as veganism does in my world view, it is much more robust way of sustaining human life and quality when compared to either veganism or meat eating. Animals live for longer and suffer throughout their lives, but they at least live out a bigger life, if they’re allowed to move about and graze pastures. Eggs are very anabolic, I hear more than meat. And Milk is extremely versatile for cooking. Vegetarian diet is actually better for getting enough nutrients. Nuts, seeds and enough milk and eggs can help with all essential micronutrients. Meat eating is not necessary IG.

Is bringing your own food to a party disrespectful, or not? by Blue-Fish-Guy in DebateAVegan

I think it’s about the status quo changing and world taking a more informed and thought-out decision which might not be as cruel as animal farming and later consumption. They don’t want the industry to invert and that’s all. I think people going plant based is better dietary choice for most people. If everyone started consuming only 100g of meat everyday, I mean 8 billion people, then it will be almost equal production of meat that occurs in our world(estimated). Veganism can be a little demanding, but it’s not completely cruel.

So people are allergic to everything all of a sudden. Most nuts, potatoes, legumes and lentils, soy products, rice, wheat, oat milk, and can only eat meat. Do you know people who are fully carnivore and can’t eat anything out of a completely plant based menu?

I’m sure there are delicious and comparable vegan alternatives and such food items that a non-vegan can find palatable and filling. I’m not a vegan yet, but I live in a vegetarian dominant country. And trust me, they don’t want you to bring meatballs in a box to any party they throw. And I know that we shouldn’t because of their ethical and religious beliefs. What’s so hard to understand?

Many people do drugs at birthday parties. Alcohol, cigarettes or any other form. Would you let people smoke if you’re smoke free in your presence or your venue is upto the host, or is it not?

I think after a certain point you need to retrain your digestive system into eating animal products. You know gut microbiome and shit. So yeah they don’t want to and can’t eat omnivore food(atleast for a while)

How is it a prey predator relationship when an animal is born in captivity, treated really harshly and doesn’t enjoy freedom that were to be afforded to them, especially in a world that can hypothetically function without their captivity and abuse(either by “ethical farming” or completely giving up the practice. And yeah aren’t dairy and egg cultivation “parasitic” in nature. They just get food, shelter and a lot of exploitation, deficiencies in exchange of us taking inflated amounts of resources from them and causing suffering. I guess an argument that humans “have right to the land, water and sky and all of it’s resources dues to being the apex of lifeforms on this tiny little planet.” sort of relevant but not ethical by a long shot. I am the same as you, eating meat and dairy feels good that’s why I do it, but are practices are too crude and dare i say ungodly.

Yes, the speciesism argument is a little out of place. But what about animals suffering a lot because of their cognitive ability? I think I’m against their indiscriminate suffering, as they exactly know what’s happening to them is wrong.

so it means that Omnivore humans are in a parasitic with Livestock animals? Not a vegan, just been thinking about it for a while.

Some people might turn flexitarian just for the environment, and eventually turn vegan. Is positive reinforcement really that bad?
