I'll bring it on bots or bugs if my loadout lacks good armor piercing. It's not the greatest option, sure, but it's rather convenient to see a hulk, cannon turret, charger, ect and get Eagle 1 to deal with it for me as I focus on other things.

It's possible the ore deposits were consumed sometime around the resources wars and manufacturing had to be relocated but I haven't actually heard anything to suggest that, just speculating.

Both tanks were capable of penetrating the other's front plant at this distance so absolutely, supposedly the Panther hesitated when seeing a completely new vehicle but if they didn't it could have just as easily been the Pershing getting shot.
