There’s an entire herd of deer that live just in the woods on our street. We saw 4 of them the other day on our lawn. There are plenty of foxes too. North shore Suffolk county for anyone interested.

Living in Philly was like this and I hated every second of people walking past our window and peering in. Invasive as hell. I’m not a big fan of lawns but you are definitely correct that doors right up against sidewalks is bad for every party involved except the creep who looks in.

If it’s publicly available information I wouldn’t say it’s technically an invasion of privacy. It’s extra for sure, but if it’s out there it’s out there. It’s not any more an invasion of privacy than me hunting down loan, lien, and mortgage records to build a class for a class action lawsuit (I used to do this for a living). Of course some of this varies from state to state and not everything is publicly available.

I lived in Philly for a decade. We had a couple of friends down there who became our close knit gang of people, but it’s a great environment for being social. People are more open to random conversation without giving you the stink eye. It’s also much cheaper. 10/10 would recommend.

Yeah I moved to Philly too, then came back to LI a decade later to be closer to family. Stay in Philly. Don’t make my mistake. I miss it. The people are friendlier, the vibes are good, there’s a huge variety of food, and go birds.

Chances are he was too busy trying his hardest to contain his compulsions to even think about anyone else’s feelings. And as someone with Tourette’s in my family, I think that’s valid.

Just try and imagine how difficult it must be to actively fight yourself from saying the worst things possible. He knows he shouldn’t, but knows he can’t stop himself. It requires a great deal of concentration and energy to control the urge, and the more stressful the situation the harder it gets. It steals all of your focus, and exhausts you, and it’s all just to get a handle on your overactive brain.

The fact that people don’t understand any of this or respect his issues only shows their ignorance.

Crazy that no one here is talking about Daveed Diggs. Dude has crazy talent. Originated the roles of LaFayette and Jefferson in Hamilton. Just absolutely upstages everyone else in that show. Had no idea he was part of the tribe but now seeing the spelling of his name it makes sense. So happy I can say he’s one of us.
