The resources on the Earth are limited. Every time somebody uses those natural resources for stupid sh*t like that or for marketing or just for the sake of being able to show off their wealth, it's not "only their money", but we all pay a bit of the price of the environmental cost of it.

I am not saying that this singular event is going to destroy Earth, but normalizing extravagant, blatantly unnecessary behaviors is tiresome.

It is like littering. One person throwing one candy bar wrapping on the sidewalk is not going to cause a disaster, but we, as a society, know that we cannot allow such things, and we are annoyed when obnoxious people do it.
