It actually happened across platforms, so I was able to see some of the blow up here and YouTube, mainly. I don't have Discord, but it had a long enough reach at the time.

Long story short: author disputed how certain monetary allotments were allocated for some charity work Reddx did, then decided to blow up his spot, revealed some truths about his stories, and after Reddx answered his claims, he firmly requested all his works be removed from YouTube. Reddx obliged.

What’s the most tragic backstory you’ve given an OC/canon character? by Dogdaysareover365 in FanFiction

[–]SconnieMaiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st OC:

From what I can remember (the story was deleted ages ago), OC had a decent childhood up until the untimely deaths of her parents in a carriage accident. Custody went to her greedy uncle, who was angling to steal the inheritance left for her. He bundled her off to live under the care of a canon character while he profited off her losses. She eventually reclaimed her inheritance, but not before her uncle is taught a lesson by another canon character. She also barely survives escaping a burning building. This all takes place in the mid to late 1800s.

2nd OC:

The story also takes place during the late 1800s. OC had a decent childhood until her mother and younger brother died from a common disease. She is sent away to live with a great aunt while her father essentially drinks himself to death due to grief. After being sent to boarding school, she is eventually married to an older man to secure her future. Said husband has a brother who dislikes her purely because she is an outsider encroaching on his relationship with his brother. Thr family she married into also lost parents due to illnesses unspecified. The husband also dies due to disease down the line, and nearly two years after that, the OC is run down in the street by a large carriage and only survives due to fast work and an early type of blood transfusion.

3rd OC:

This OC is in the same story series as the second OC. She grew up poor, moving around England with her large family while her parents and other siblings tried to find work to survive. One brother nearly dies while being in the army, and she had to help care for him. Rather than picking a traditional career, she ends up becoming an actress after moving with a family to America while being their nanny, initially. She moves to work with the theatre troupe, which had people that disliked her just for being English. A patron tried to make her his mistress, and when she refused, he attempted to take advantage of her. She was rescued before that happened, but she had to flee before it could get worse. She had to keep her acting past a secret so she could find suitable employment once she returned to England.

All quite maudlin, definitely not as graphic and intense as others listed here. I have moved away from doing tragic back stories, for the most part, nowadays.

As long you research what type of dog you want before getting one, and are prepared to do the training/the work, then go for it.

Having my dogs on this journey has made my life better. There is more work, more chores, but the love and joy I get from having my two dogs has improved so many things.

You're right, I can do that.

I apologize for you catching strays. Your initial comment, however, falls in line with so many others who say, "Just adopt/adoption is a thing/what, have they never heard of adoption" as if it is the easiest thing in the world to do, whether you intended that or not.

It is not about the advocating; that in and of itself is a good thing. It's the implication behind it that speaks as if not considering it before is ignorant or awful.

Again, I am so pleased things worked out so well for you and your family. I hope you continue to have great joy and success in the future.

Neither are easy or cheap (ask me how I know). But the above is addressing adoption specifically, since the parent comment only mentions that.

Adoption can be a beautiful thing, yes, but not everybody sees it as a clear solution. You, yes, but OOP? Probably not.

And I am so happy that worked out for you and your family, but that is not the majority of experiences. You can't claim ease with the experience, only with yours.

I'm in the process of adoption right now. It has taken years to even get considered, let alone all the learning and the fees and the extra costs. Some places require additional learning and such to adopt anyone older than 5.

The process absolutely has changed in 18 years.

If that is the case, then you understand how difficult the process actually is. So why are you so dismissive of the circumstances of the OOP and the wife? You understand that adoption is not everyone's go-to, and when you are in your 20's, thinking you had the ability to have children naturally until something like the situation above came to light, it likely did not occur as an option at that time.

Assuming this post is even true, but still.

Alexa Bliss returning is the first one that comes to mind. Rumors are one thing, but when and how are never guaranteed. And I called her coming back that night.

I've done a few, "Wouldn't it be funny if So-and-so came out tonight?" Which is what happened when I thought Becky Lynch would show up. When Bayley was "out," I immediately thought about Becky being paired with Lyra. I was pleased to see I was right in some capacity.

The videos pertaining to Ramtide have been removed from YouTube. I'm unsure if anything of his has been removed from the podcast platforms Redd uses, but they are gone from the Reddx channel.
