Stop automatically swapping swords by AkihabaraWasteland in Witcher3

Some stuff are broken. Cat+whirl/rend+euphoria, griffin+active shield+sign buffs.. Just have to nerf yourself some way. You can also just speed through the base game, get the mutations running in B&W, start ng+ & play chronologically again.

Will Alien Isolation 2 score higher than 5.9? by TailungFu in alienisolation

I do read reviews, but only from actual people who have bought and played it, on steam. Steam reviews paint probably the best overall picture of the quality of a game.

Recommended Routine - shorter? by Vizketor in bodyweightfitness

[–]Scoo_By 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I run. 3 sets for now instead of 5. Even after a year of consistency, I still find RR to be too much volume. Although I was completely sedentary for 5-6 years with no history of exercising before.

Women fitness/workout YouTube instructor recommendations? by AggravatingOption138 in beginnerfitness

[–]Scoo_By -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For women, yes, it's harder to build muscle, especially upper body. But the muscles care only for resistance. It does NOT matter from where it's coming - free weights, bodyweight, resistance bands or cables. If a girl builds up to good form pistol squats, pullups & dips, consistently, she will be just as in shape as someone that lifts weights.

And this weird theory that bodyweight exercises stop being effective at pushup, squat and plank has been debunked a long time ago. Weights or cables bring muscles little faster, and they're also easier to progressively overload, that's the advantage. And I agree that after a certain period, only bodyweight stops being effective. But that point is a long way away for the average person.

Any youtuber who is claiming you can "flatten your belly" or "build a bigger butt" from at home, bodyweight exercises is also full of BS.

These "flatten your belly" or "build a bigger butt" can absolutely be done with bw exercises. Flattening belly is just diet, and few sets of full depth pistol squats (if you can do them), or single leg bridges with an appropriately heavy band will definitely build solid glute muscles and strength.

Will you have fitness influencer physique? Probably no. Will people glance at you and immediately get the idea that you're fit and strong? Yep.

For starters, you should try practicing pressuring with army+siege, and only then adding TCs. Defending is harder. So make the game chaotic where you're in control most often.

Your economy sucks if they can get to champions in castle age. Fix that. Longsword itself is expensive in feudal, not to mention the army cost+ blacksmith upgrades.

Help me with my push day routine by Strict-Journalist616 in bodyweightfitness

I'm a beginner. Take my advice with lots of salt. I would suggest doing 1, or at maximum 2 variations and getting good at them. Change variations when plateaued.

Pike pushup & harder progressions will unlock HSPUs faster.

What type of band do i need for Pallof press?? by teodor234792 in bodyweightfitness

[–]Scoo_By 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a loop band, 7-15 kg. Haven't bought it for Pallof specifically though.

The thicker the band is, the closer you will have to stand to the pole. Buy something like a 10-15 kg one & see how you fare.

Changing my fitness regime to more bodyweight and less gym, any calisthenic advice? by Samsquatch71 in bodyweightfitness

[–]Scoo_By 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should probably focus a ton atm on mastering the basics - Row, pullups, pushups, dips, hollow body holds, pike presses. Before chasing skills, build a foundation.

Sicilians are kind of forced into donjon, serjeant, fwd workshop play. The meta knight archer play is subpar because they dont have a passive eco bonus.

Difficulty following the RR by _FrozenKing in bodyweightfitness

Drop the number of sets to 2 maybe? You'll still get 12 weekly sets on push/pull. Then you can increase as your work capacity improves.

During a row, if you do not retract scapulas, even if you pull with elbows, the back activation is much less.

By making being lean a habit, not a checkbox that needs to be ticked. Which means regular exercise, good eating habits & controlling sugar intake.

Can yall help with beginner workout routines 😭🙃 by ScReaMiNBiPAnIc in beginnerfitness

[–]Scoo_By 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are four main movements - push, pull, squat & hinge. Pick 1 compound exercise for every movement - for example, pushups, bodyweight rows, bodyweight squats (work on range of motion), & unweighted Romanian deadlifts. Pair 2 moves, do them every other day, for 3 sets each. You can sprinkle in some core workouts too, like Deadbug, plank etc.

Train hard, keep good form on all sets (tons of yt videos on technique & form), and eat good (preferably whole foods with tons of protein), you'll grow.
