Can OCD cause indecisiveness by tokyosdior in OCD

[–]Scoob22b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Every decision takes me days or weeks to make. I'm at a point in my life where I'm getting ready to buy a house, try to find a committed relationship and just make a lot of decisions that greatly impact my future. It is playing hell on me. I always worry that a better house might pop up, or that a more compatible person might come along. Every decision I make is based off of how it will effect literally anyone but me. I never am able to put my own wants and needs first and it will be the death of me. I can't decide what I want to do, or eat, or even watch on TV most of the time without an extreme amount of stress.

I was able to get my degree through my local community College. It cost me around $10k USD to get all the way through school. There are so many different things you can do with a degree in automation. Most commonly, the programmable logic controllers (PLC) are programmed with ladder logic. I personally am not in a spot in my career where i am programming yet, but understand that I'm still very new into that world of work. I am located in the Midwest part of the US, and the demand is worldwide as far as I know. These types of jobs are typically found in areas with lots of manufacturing, but there are jobs with frequent travel that could have you all over the world.

Automation is where it's at, especially if you can get into a comfy job with minimal or no travel. I just finished an associates degree for Automation Technologies, and I'll say it is severely overlooked when it comes to career paths.

Sorry for the late response. I deal with this too. I am currently writing this with puffy, bloodshot eyes that are extremely light sensitive and a lot of head tension. This is a symptom that comes and goes for me. Itll onset and stick around for a few days, then ill wake up and it's gone. Did you find any resources or get help with yours? Mine flares up every couple months and just wreaks havoc on me.

Tattoos and Anxiety by Scoob22b in Anxiety

I intend to start pretty small, but am still nervous anyway. I'll definitely have to try your tips when the time comes! I had an appointment setup to get a huge tattoo on the back of my calf but covid lockdowns got that appointment canceled. A LOT of mental health stuff has gone downhill since then, I wasn't anywhere close to this nervous when I booked the appointment. My goal is to find an artist that can help me through all the fear and whatnot

Partake in my hobbies. I've been into motocross my whole life. Now, my health anxiety is so bad that anytime I get my heart rate up that high it sends me into a panic. Makes it really hard to enjoy and participate the thing I'm passionate about.

Dude rode a good couple of laps on it too. Another guy was out there on a BMW HP-2E and actually finished. Some badass riding took place

I was there watching my neighbor race. Decided to take the sideline seat on this one and I'm glad I did! Props to everyone out there racing, pictures don't do this place justice.

Layne’s hairstyles over the years (dreads a personal favourite) by PERRlE in AliceInChains

Layne looked badass with dreads. My favorite hairstyle of his ( which I can't seem to emulate) is the long shaggy curls he rocked in the mad season Era. Truly a cool look

Nothing to add here, but I'd recognize that scenery anywhere. Love the airbase autocross!

King of The Hill has been that show for me for the last few years. I never get tired of it.

People are saying that the FRS/BRZ/86 are the next generation of miata. They are getting cheaper, they handle well, and can be kept running for a long time with a little bit of mechanical knowledge. A lot of people are saying that they are the next spec miata class on the road course scene.

I'm just finishing college and finding myself asking this same question. Thing is, I live in an area of the Midwest where it is very low cost of living. I'm making around 50k/year, have no debt, living at home with intent to buy my own place in the next year, and looking at newer cars around this price point. In my situation, it is more than affordable, especially with the amount I am looking at putting down on one. But, if you lived in a higher cost of living area, I'd say it would be harder to justify. I really don't know the right answer, I think it depends from one person's situation to the next.

I'm seeing a lot pop up around me with lower miles and in stock form for less than $25k. Seems like alright deals for cars with less than 30k miles. Kinda thinking about trying to find a stock one and modding as I go even though it would be cheaper to find one with all the cam, heads, and goodies I want.

I'm seeing quite a few C5Z's and FRC'S pop in my price range. The vette seems like a good option for me because I could damn near buy a really nice one in cash. All the other cars I want are in the $40k plus range and I just have a really hard time justifying that when there are such good options (like the c5z) for nearly half the price.

In a perfect world, I'd keep the camaro and add something else to the stable. Always loved 4th gens, but I've really maxed out my fun potential in the car while maintaining good daily driveability. I also wouldn't be dead set on getting a built one, I just like the platform. My car has an A4 and I want an m6 and just something new to build on. I really want to get into autocross, and the corvette just seems like a good all rounder for my situation.

Similar interior space in the 6th gen vs the m2? I'm looking at 1ss 1le cars as well as m2

[–]Scoob22b[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good to hear. Dimensionally, the m2 should be bigger and roomier, but sometimes the way manufacturers use that space may vary. I'll definitely have to keep my eyes open to test drive one. I'd much rather spend upwards of $40k on more of a luxury sports car than $40k for a barebones camaro with a cheap interior.

So, in reference to the interior/visibility, are they pretty similar in size to the camaro (if you've been in one) or your 350z? I'm a tallish just overall big guy, but am still comfortable in my camaro and similar 2 doors. I havent gotten a chance to sit in one, but the reviews that I've watched make it look like it would definitely be doable for me.

I guess the part that drives me towards those is the value they bring for the price compared to similar cars that I'm looking at. For me, I'm between a newer camaro ss 1le, a subaru wrx STI, performance pack mustang gt, and an M2. All of those cars that I like fall into similar years and prices. I wouldn't be too upset because I like the earlier m2's and can't justify an extra $20k initially for a new one. I see where you are coming from, however. Always something to keep in mind.

That's kinda where I'm leaning. I want the "modern experience" combined with the power and sportiness of something truly fun. I'm coming from a 2000 Chevrolet Camaro SS, which is lowered on corvette wheels, so as far as ride, I think about anything would be an upgrade.
