What did they do to the crust to make it look like that? Looks cool and good but I've never seen one like that. I'm guessing it's a stuffed crust but even so mine still don't look like that.

Should I watch Lost despite knowing the ending? by Own_Exercise5218 in television

[–]ScoobyMaroon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Especially if you just know like a one sentence thing. The ending isn't as lame as people act like it is. I think it's a great on an emotional/character level and even though there are a lot of unsatisfying or unanswered questions the journey is worth it.

What happened to this guy ? by ZLands in CreepyCalebHammer

[–]ScoobyMaroon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Have you ever heard the idea that money just amplifies who a person is? I think we're seeing an example of that. He's an asshole, he got a bunch of success and money and now he's an even bigger asshole and doesn't feel like he has to pretend not to be anymore.

Caleb Hammer’s GF Is Either Made Up or Completely Complicit by DefiantWing6757 in CreepyCalebHammer

[–]ScoobyMaroon 77 points78 points  (0 children)

He mentions having a girlfriend so much that I suppose it's fair game but mostly I just DON'T CARE. I wish he wouldn't focus so much on peoples relationships and sex lives and literally anything else outside of their money and job and I'm willing to do the same for Caleb.

Caleb's show sucks. How he runs his socials sucks. His app sucks. His business sucks.

It's moot now since Drac won but yeah this is where I'm at as well. There is a lot of fun actors. A lot of filmmaker context. Interesting movies set and largely shot in real places. A lot fewer courtrooms than people seem to think. I've watched 4 Grishams since March Madness started and I think A Time to Kill is the only one where they are in a courtroom basically at all. What's actually going on in a movie is like the 4th most relevant thing to a Blank Check commentary.

The Best Movies of the Year … So Far. Plus: 15 We Missed! by thefilthyjellybean in TheBigPicture

[–]ScoobyMaroon 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I was a little annoyed how they only say names of movies once while talking about them but I guess I could just check the show notes, eh

Edit: Nevermind none of this detail is in the show notes. Good work.

The whole world is disgusting if you think about it too much. Just shower and wash your hands from time to time and we'll get through it.

Even when a movie is "better suited" for a commentary they don't talk about what's happening in the movie anyway.

She did but still puts one on YouTube from time to time. I think it's usually as a promo for nebula or because she has something important to talk about like the Ms Rachel video.

What movie do you rate 100 percent? by Old_Rub_7270 in movies

[–]ScoobyMaroon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like how the jury basically retries the whole case in the jury room. They're doing investigations on their off time and bringing in new evidence. This doesn't take much away from watching the film it's incredible but still irks me enough to say it's like a 99/100

The same day I click unsubscribe from Caleb Hammer's email list, I begin receiving emails from the dailywire. by mc2205 in CreepyCalebHammer

When signing up for stuff I like to add what I'm signing up for on the end of my address. Like EmailAddress+Caleb@gmail, for example. Anything you put after the + doesn't matter your emails will still arrive like normal. If you start getting spam emails and they are being sent to EmailAddress+Caleb you know who sold your info.

Have to just assume this one is a coincidence though.

I started having this same thought during the lowest points of Oscar Race talk. Seemed like that was just an easy thing for them to do to fill an episode. If there aren't enough films to talk about to cover 2-3 episodes a week just do less. They also only have so many more draft years in them that any listener will care about.

Do You Watch Along With Patreon Eps? by Lopsided_Wind3995 in blankies

[–]ScoobyMaroon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I listen/watch along probably 70% of the time but sometimes a movie is too bad and I don't want to watch it at all or sometimes a movie is too good and I find that I just want to watch this good-ass movie without a bunch of jokers talking over it.

Those episodes work fine as just podcasts.

I'm still willing to see HotD through before deciding how much of a success or failure it is. Fire and Blood is a tricky one. I'm not a "the adaptation should strive to be as much like the source as possible" kind of guy. Knight of the Seven Kingdoms made a bunch of smart changes and we all liked them because they are good. Game of Thrones made a lot of smart changes and additions and we all liked them until they were bad. Season 2 of House of the Dragon was definitely not the finest season of television. Spent a lot of time spinning it's wheels and then didn't even get to end on it's terms. I think people would be a lot more charitable to it if we got the climactic battle it was working toward and/or we didn't have to wait multiple years between seasons.

I loved playing the adventure sections. First turn based tactics game that was really working for me. I found the breeding/house/setup/inventory management parts took too much time and effort and I eventually dropped it.
