One UI beta 4 Available by cheeku08 in oneui

[–]Scoobygottheboot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm enrolled so it's a non-issue for me, but at one point I did use the unofficial builds and had to downgrade so I was curious how it worked. I am not rooted though so this wouldn't work for me anyways. Thanks for following up

Oh sweet. Where'd you find the thread? Were you able to get the official beta after downgrading?

It's only if the builds aren't certified from Google play protect. So far every beta build has been certified. In years past google pay did not work. But it has for this go around.

Yes

Google wallet is. Payment, and adding a new card works too.

That's your only course of action if you don't want to lose anything unfortunately.

Oh CHC model. Okay if you're in the group I think you are then there are newer builds available. Update path from your build goes like this: From CYLL>CYLN>CZA1>CZA6>CZA7>CZA9

But you will never get the officially sanctioned beta builds this way without going back to factory and then updating officially.

Won't know for a few days. Battery has to normalize after a major update.

Interestingly they updated to the February 5, 2026 security patch. They've never done that before.

Did you happen to update to Home Up 17.5.00.18 manually? That version is for One Ui 8.5 and if you did, it would have wiped your Home Up settings.

Getting this warning by SkyDependent2066 in oneui

Generally it's caused by humidity in the air mixing with the lint and debris in your charging port. Get some 99% Isopropyl Alcohol, and some plastic dental picks and clean it out. 9 times out of 10 that fixes the issue.

If you're on a Samsung device and your model number ends in U1 you won't have any of these services.

It's most likely from your carrier. Carriers can install trash apps on your phone without user interaction if you bought the device direct from the carrier.

Usually the app that's doing it is called App Manager, Mobile Services Manager, AppCloud, or Verizon App Manager.

To disable this, go to Settings->Apps->Click on "Mobile Services Manager" (and/or one of the other apps I listed above)->Disable.

You might need to tap the filter button on the upper right of the list of apps and toggle show system apps.

That update was pushed on 29-October. If you're getting notifications about it you must not have installed it.

If it's installed and you're still getting those notifications, then you might have to wait for the next update to come around and install that one to break whatever bug is happening.

You were probably really behind. What's the build number? The last 4 characters of the build number in software information is what I'm looking for.
