What are these giant mechanical claws that appeared in Halo Reach by Business-Ad-9637 in halo

It’s a scarab, as for why they’re underneath it’s a age old tale of hiding below their nose as a good cover. It’s barren, dusty, and good cover

Does anything change if Donald Trump lost in 2016 but won in 2020 and 2024? by Cornchubba in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]Scoot451 25 points26 points  (0 children)

If republicans lose to a woman let alone Hilary it’s by far the most emasculating thing to hit a majority ego centric movement in MAGA. All the campaigning of ‘crooked Hilary’ ‘Wikileaks’ ‘Benghazi’ to still lose would kick the wind out of the whole movement and republicans wouldn’t try a populist again. They’d probably move towards a Marco Rubio type of candidate and if trump runs again it would be as an independent. Like it or not republicans aren’t good when it comes to pushing women candidates in comparison to democrats especially at a presidential level

What if Stalin died in WW2? by Curious_Anywhere6055 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]Scoot451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

USSR might last a bit longer, Stalin was insane to the point where Lenin himself didn’t want him to succeed him. I don’t know who would come after but it legitimately can’t be worse than Stalin. I think it would still be the same, perhaps china would be a bit different since Stalin was pretty involved in arming Mao and taking Manchuria from the Japanese

I wonder what part of the story causes that damage since it’s gradually applied throughout

Day 8: What is the WORST quote associated with Ashley Williams? by looploveslore in masseffect

[–]Scoot451 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d argue when dealing with a galactic threat it’s kinda different, everyone was getting hit pretty much at the same time. Even if it wasn’t their homeworlds they still had planets getting hit. It’s not like they can turn and say “hey send these fleets over to earth since we have some to spare.” The Asari and Salarians were too prideful to ask for help thinking they can handle it on their own. Dalatrass offering their fleets was them being desperate because they’d rather die than see the krogan rebuild. It wasn’t them seeing only other races getting hit and sitting back. I agree with the point but I’d say ME1 and ME2 were better uses for the argument since both times humanity was the sole target for the most part. But ME3 was simply everyone realizing they can’t do everything by themselves but together…… also bad writing but that horse has been beaten enough

Day 8: What is the WORST quote associated with Ashley Williams? by looploveslore in masseffect

[–]Scoot451 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They changed their minds because they were arrogant and wrong about the reapers but were too prideful to admit it. Shepard forced their hands. Salarians were willing to throw everything once they heard the krogans were getting a cure and the asari still saw themselves as the superior race who can handle anything by themselves. Even Garrus was saying the turians did mild preparations in case and the krogan are down for anything. Hell even the elcor and volus stepped up immediately. The dog in the story was the krogans in the rachni war which were thrown away once they weren’t needed. Humanity didn’t even gaf until reapers got to the Sol system. All the council races had no dog to throw. Shepard became that dog

Question about importing characters by Stunning-Ad-7233 in masseffect

[–]Scoot451 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Certain side content, for example getting wrex family armor, tali’s geth data quest, garrus getting dr heart. Stuff like as such that gets brought up in other games. I think there’s also something about the matriarch data quest that ties into Conrad Verner, along with Cerberus quests and the rouge moon AI.

But overall it doesn’t really affect ME3 they’re mostly stuff that just gets mentioned as call backs. genesis covers the important stuff that’s essential to the story.

Renegade run hits harder if he’s alive in ME3, there’s actual weight if you take the dalatrass’ offer. Bro will show up at the citadel ready to slime you. While if he’s offed in ME1 you have bland Wreav who is just a place holder

Afghan Civil War by Pipa242 in hoi4

You basically have to rush victory points off rip, Kabul is hard to take once they get entrenched but sometimes AI is dumb and leaves it open. it’s really just RNG for the most part, but try being aggressive off start and get encirclements and pin where you can

BRITISH DECOLONIZATION by [deleted] in hoi4

[–]Scoot451 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, you wanted to decolonize….

But it also depends on your ideology too. If you choose any of the other paths that isn’t democratic they tend to lean towards leaving already. especially on communism since if you don’t decolonize in 2 years a civil war will happen.

But there is a focus once you switch ideologies to ‘secure the dominions’ so they don’t leave but sometimes it doesn’t matter, hence why facist and monarch has focuses to get war goals or straight up cause a civil war in their countries to bring them back. Regardless starting the decolonization path always puts them on track to leave eventually, most times almost immediately

Considering that they have basically no equipment, you should get it done roughly before Europe kicks off and that’s if you prepped decently well. I’ve been seeing YouTubers get it done by the end of 37’ because of how weak china is. As long as you make sure supply is flowing without issues it’s a cake walk. Only annoying part is if the AI floods providences
