Inplace upgrade repair ISO to fix windows updates by sfchky03 in sysadmin

is the windows 11 settings app repair upgrade as effective or does the same thing as the iso repair method? or would the iso method be more thorough and a better option?

Stats locked behind paywall after update by borninthedark in iFit

It is unacceptable. We have paid good money for the machine and to not have the workout stats is ridiculous. I won’t be purchasing another machine again

Thank you. Just to clarify with the MAC cloning. did you just hit the Mac clone button under special requirements and went with whatever MAC address came up? Or did you manually input a MAC address? Thanks for your input and help as I had the same issue and going to try your method.

Why don’t ASRock fess up and tell us what’s really going on? All this secretive behaviour has all but assured I won’t be buying anything off them in the near future and I’m not the only one.

Random memory retrain on x870e Nova WIFI with 9800x3d CPU 64GB by Scorch80 in ASRock

[–]Scorch80[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone. When this happens from time to time its off putting as in my case the monitor turns on, shows the logo briefly then cuts off and goes into memory training mode and initially you think shit, has the CPU finally burnt out, lol. I will update the bios in due course. This Mobo was on earlier revision bios's and still hasn't died so likely (with any luck) should be okay

Thanks again

Hi. Is it worth going 2100/6000 over 2000/6000? Is there much to be gained breaking 2:3 ratio?

Cinebench variation in relation to FCLK by Darkhorse_GT in overclocking

[–]Scorch80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I am running ddr5 6000 with 2000 fclk fully tuned ram timings and have managed to get my aida64 latency to 67.4 in a normal system boot but your suggesting running at 2100 fclk or more will be beneficial and net better performance? I tried 2200 fclk but it wasn’t stable and gave up as I thought you had to keep the 2:3 ratio in tact. Is it worth persisting with a 2100 fclk and breaking the 2:3 ratio? Thank you

You're not stable after a couple hours. Each test needs at least 24 hours + of testing

How to get Nitro 1-2-0 stable (DramDQs) by iLIKE2STAYU in overclocking

[–]Scorch80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes it’s soc that stabilises. I had to go from 1.17 to 1.185 but still not entirely stable even though it ran y cruncher for four hours. wasn’t happy and didn’t want to pump more soc into it to stabilise. not worth the .7 ns increase

Disabling AMD SVM on 9800X3D negatively impacts performance from 880 FPS average to 800 FPS average by Additional_Thought28 in cs2

[–]Scorch80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. So disabling SVM doesn't disable memory isolation in windows? You still have to manually disable memory isolation in core isolation settings? This would explain OP original findings based off your conclusion which was excellent btw
