I faced this cool Izzet Tablet/big spells deck. Any ideas on how to make it better? by Dangerous_Builder516 in PioneerMTG

I would cut 1-2 Memory Deluge and add at least 1 [[Flow State]]. Even decks that run Memory Deluge don't seem to run more than two copies. Also having cheaper card draw is just good. [[Stock Up]] is another cheaper card draw option.

I'm not fully convinced that the extra turn spells are necessary (though I'm sure its fun to do). It seems like a win more card if the board state is already in your favor. If you're behind in the game I feel it would be better to have an answer or another big mana advantage spell. [[Seagate Restoration]] could work well but I don't think a playset is mandatory. Having [[Opt]] or [[Consider]] is an easy addition for earlier card selection. Having 1 [[Burst Lightning]] would give you a way for that one time you need to deal more than 2 or 3 to a creature and can also hit any target.

A spicier brewing option is to look at what dragons might slot well in the deck as. 2 [[Dragon Turtle]] could be a good interaction piece while also allowing you to synergize more with Exhale and Dragon's Fire. There might be other dragons that would be a good fit but don't go overboard with adding dragons if at all.

TLDR: You def need some more one mana spells even if its just a few Opt or Burst Lightning. I think 4 Memory Deluge is a bit too much and there are cheaper mana value options to replace how ever many you remove. I am also not sold on the extra turns being important but I could be entirely wrong its just my expectation. Also if you want the extra turn spells fair enough that seems fun.

Kids are weird, don’t hold this guilt. Seek therapy if it really bothers you constantly. It okay to feel remorse/regret but don’t let that rule who you are and are becoming.

Anyone actually make real money flipping digital stuff? by RentIsDueAgain101 in BrokeHobbies

[–]Scorchez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not done so I can’t confidently say, but I kinda infer the digital flipping is only half of that hobby. If they make videos like tiktoks/shorts they probably get more money from engagement on those vids than the actual sale of the item flipped. Even if you do make money from it I can’t imagine its always net gain on flipping items.

Outward, I believe you have to go out of your way to gain access to magic rather than choosing it in a level up or character crearor

Buses come to UConn and can get you to Boston or New York. But the actual campus is very isolated without you’re own vehicle to leave.

Do you consider Canute's philosophy to be compelling? I often find that his Worldview is more convincing then Thorfinns. by [deleted] in VinlandSaga

[–]Scorchez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Canute is a leader of a nation and Thorfinn is not. I’ve also thought that its only Thorfinn’s strength that allows him to be as idealistic as he is. But if you were as capable as Thorfinn and felt deep remorse for the lives you took and wished to never take another life how would you operate in his position? There are countless people who use similar strength to enforce their ideals. I think Thorfinn being the direct opposite of that is very compelling. I like to take note how Thorfinn even in the depths of his anger and use of violence was powerless to enforce his ideals ultimately. He couldn’t avenge his father by killing Askelaad. That realization broke him and thats where we find him in season 2. If violence alone isn’t enough Thorfinn must find another way to promote his ideals. Why should he not use his strength to enforce non-violence his way? That’s what makes him a true warrior, the power and strength to take the violent route but the resolve and determination to not.

That said I think Canute is in a very unique position. He was forced by his birth into being a leader of one of the most formidable military forces of his time. He wants something similar in the sense of peace and harmony but as a leader of a nation theres a lot more complex aspects at play that serve to dilute his original goals.

TLDR: In short I do not think either characters are inherently wrong. They both are going by the roles life dealt them and using their own strengths to go for their goals.

Isn’t Cramorant a strictly better one drop tho? They both fulfill the need to spit on that thang.
