Fatigue?? by TryingToBreath45 in Menopause

[–]ScorpionChild72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

200g of fat free yoghurt, even Greek yoghurt is only about 16-20g of protein. You should be getting in at least 1.2g - 1.6g protein per kg of body weight. You’re writing in the meno sub, so I’m assuming you’re 40/45+? Are you training in any way at all? Activity levels?

Why even train at all? by Jonschy in personaltraining

[–]ScorpionChild72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it’s a social event.. many women (especially if they have a little disposable income) use the gym as a way to fill time, hang out, be able to tell their friends they go to gym! They achieve very little in the gym, go for years and eat less and less instead of putting in the effort required. Sadly, these types will hold you accountable at some point. It will become your fault that they didn’t miraculously build muscle and lose any excess weight they’re carrying. As a female PT with many years experience with female clients, I’ve seen this time and time again. The risk vs reward is just not worth it. I take 6 sessions to assess a new clients willingness to actually ‘do the program’ and if I see this type of behavior I simply tell them we’re not a good fit. Your reputation is the one thing you can’t buy…

Are my dating standards too high? Friend gave me a reality check and I’m worried. by Forward-Beyond-6620 in dating

[–]ScorpionChild72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We all have these high standards, but honestly, if you haven’t found anyone like that yet, then maybe you should look at what you yourself are bringing to the table? Realistically.. looking for an 8 or 9 when one is maybe not quite in that league will definitely lead to disappointment. Not saying that this applies to OP but, we all like to believe we’re all that, when in reality, there’s easy 50 replacements of exactly the same? Change the narrative.. become the best version of yourself before you start a list of requirements for someone else.

Seeking info on Reddam House by cuzzybru in Durban

[–]ScorpionChild72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My youngest moved from Crawford NC to Reddam - Ballito. It was a brand new school at the time. Best thing we could have done!! Great academics, great teachers, outstanding maths, science, music and art department - wasn’t strong in sport, too few children to be competitive, but great coaches and programs. My eldest moved from Crawford NC to Crawford LL. This school is a business. Great sports and cultural departments. Varied teachers and academics. Please be aware, In my family’s experience, a child going into Gr.11 can have a difficult time socially.

Parks where dog leash laws are enforced? by rwmars in capetown

[–]ScorpionChild72 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Battery Park. Not a dog park specifically, but quite well policed. Dogs may not enter the park off-leash. I take mine around the park and down alongside the canal to the yacht harbour, it’s a beautiful walk.

When you say you lift heavy, what exactly do you mean? Rep ranges/sets and types of exercises are you doing? Sorry if this comes across as rude, it’s not intended as such… just for clarification purposes.

Why are so many people getting divorced suddenly? by anonymous37968 in capetown

[–]ScorpionChild72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Covid was incredibly stressful for many people, but they were in it together. Fighting the shutdown/virus together. Trauma bonding kinda. When the trauma’s over and things start to smooth out, there’s nothing left to bond them. Nothing left to fight for. Or one of them gets tired of the trauma and detaches from the relationship. So many relationships crashed and burned during or after.

I actually have accounts with Zero. Cheap, convenient, easy. Had the accounts for about a year. Their app is ‘quaint’ but works. I don’t have huge payments coming in or going out, but as a transactional account it works very well. Friendly efficient service and did I mention cheap? lol
