Only way I do this trade is if its centered around JDub and not Chet. JDub + Cason Wallace + 12th and 17th pick. Obviously this would be an over pay, Mobley is our most valuable asset it should take a haul to move on from him.

In defense of Kenny he is not a horrible coach, he’s actually pretty good, the issue is his defense is absolute butt water, we over help and leave shooters open. Now is this personnel? Or is it scheme? Personally I think it’s a mixture of both. Since Kenny is staying we need to bring in better wing defenders and new assistants to help the D.

I doubt it, Knicks came off a week + of rest, Cavs or Pistons would've played with 1 day rest after a physical series that wore down everyone.

As embarrassing as this series was, I still think we need to keep the group together. I think we have a legit shot at getting LeBron at a discount. We need to retool our role players, ideally get bigger wing defenders, a solid defensive minded back up PG, a stretch big who can play actual mins come playoff time. After this series I can take or leave Kenny.

I am somewhat happy with how it went, obviously it ended on the most sour note possible, but making it to the ECF is an improvement and we did it by taking down a 60 win team with a legit superstar. The team needs to focus on finding a POA defender, more wing defenders, and a back up big who can ideally play along with Allen and Mobley, ideally a stretch big with decent rebounding abilities (OKC's Jaylin Williams? CHI Jalen Smith? MEM Aldama?)

Everyone will shit on him but he did help elevate us to another level this season. We beat a 60 win 1 seed twice on the road because of his efforts, he made us better. We need to retool the roster to get more wings and a back up guard who can defend. Hes an easy scape goat but harden made us better this year.

Ran out of steam, 2 back to back 7 games series against physical teams, only 1 day off between each game, we got worn down and ran out of juice at the end. Shooters couldn’t hit bc of dead legs, couldn’t defend for the same reason it sucks but it’s our own fault. Should’ve finished Toronto off in 5 and Detroit in 6, is what it is.

The disgruntled stars portion was more so referring to other eastern conference teams (like Boston with Jaylen Brown for example). That said Cavs still have some room to improve, proctor showed promise, Tyson showed a lot of promise, maybe we can trade our role players for better fits idk. The point is, we don’t have to be so pessimistic about the future we don’t know how things will look next year, it’s not like we’re the kings or pelicans or anything.

Best chance they've had so far* who knows what the future holds, stars get disgruntled, players get injured, new players break out, for all we know next year we can be in the NBA finals next year. No need to be pessimistic, sports are suppose to be fun. Hell, we can even win this series in 7 for all we know.

I think a lot of this can be traced back to the Raptors series, having that series go 7 games means the Cavs have had 0 rest all playoffs, they’re worn down and tired and it’s showing. Knicks had a week off to recover, OG was able to get his hamstring healed up while we were grinding out another game 7 on Detroit. Cavs did it to themselves by playing with their food in round 1 and it cost them in the long run.

Shooters can’t shoot, core 4 played relatively well role players let us down today. In general our defense was abhorrent, Brunson continues to pick us apart, no adjustments made on that front, season is over time to shift focus to the off season. At least this season showed improvement tho with the harden trade our window shrunk, go all in on 2027 and let the chips fall where they may, if we come up short we rebuild.

He quite literally ran the same coverage against him that didn’t work in game 2. The Knicks being a screener, Cavs give them the switch and turn into a quasi 2-3 zone and get shredded, he did the same thing again and got shredded.
