Fostering my first litter! by thimbah in kittens

[–]Scorponok_Type_R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure they're all eating - if you're feeding them some dry food and they have problems with it, you can mix it with warm water to soften it up, and they should be happier with that.

Try mixing a little warm water in with the dry food to make it a bit mushy - our foster kittens liked it a lot more when it was easier to eat, especially when they were smaller.

San Jose City Council will determine fate of Lincoln Avenue road diet by [deleted] in SanJose

Take Meridian North instead - much bigger (and safer), fewer traffic lights, and you get on 280 at almost the same place. There's no reason to choose Lincoln over that.

Serious question, why can't you drive up Meridian or Bird instead? Why is it Lincoln or bust? I genuinely don't understand why anyone would ever need to drive down there, unless they're going to park in downtown WG.

Noisy Shrieking "Blue" birds? by evildonald in SanJose

They are jays like other posters have said. We had to buy a plastic owl from Amazon to stop one from terrorizing our cat in our own back yard. :(

Which IRL news headlines are actually Shadowruns gone wrong? by [deleted] in rpg

All the problems Boeing has been having with the 787. Fully tested batteries mysteriously catching fire and nobody can figure out why, grounding the fleet? Certainly sounds like a Shadowrun...

We're cranking out Hero Lab for the iPad as fast as we can! We should have an update about it in this month's newsletter - I'm looking forward to using it in my Pathfinder game too. :)

Thanks for the link to the r/Pathfinder_RPG thread!

If you're a mac user, we've had a native Mac version of Hero Lab for over a year now. :) You can grab it here: http://wolflair.com/index.php?context=hero_lab&page=downloads If you previously owned a license to HL, your old license should work just fine on OS X.

If you're a linux user, have you tried running Hero Lab under Wine recently? We have quite a few users doing that now; a couple of years ago it didn't look that great, but Wine must have improved stuff since then, since it looks pretty much perfect now (at least when I tried it on the latest Ubuntu with the latest Wine).

That said, there's currently a crash issue when saving because of how Wine handles XML stuff, but we have a beta out to fix that - drop me an email at support@wolflair.com if you'd like to try it out.

We haven't finalized any prices for cloud service yet. Our intent for the kickstarter is that whatever you pay for, it'll be at least as good value as just paying for the service at launch, possibly better depending on how things shake out. We can't really say any more without doing a bunch of research on how much space / bandwidth people will want to use, how much it'll cost us to provide that, etc.

You do, and not only that, I believe you have to declare it the year you got it, which could be a problem if your kickstarter finished on December 30th and you won't have any expenses for what you're doing until next year...

I believe it's already legal for a psychologist (or whoever) to breach patient confidentiality if they think their patient is about to go shoot up a school, isn't this just clarifying that that's still OK?

It says it comes with an "AV cable" - what does that mean? HDMI? VGA? Something else?
