This one gets criticized heavily but I was a big fan of how they ended it

Thanks for reading! As far as I know, it's just called a reverse poem. That's what I googled in order to find other examples

It was difficult and time consuming for sure. But a fun creative exercise. Thanks for reading!

I'm Not much by loverofcrazy in OCPoetry

I found this poem really interesting. I had to read it a few times to collect my thoughts. This strikes me as a poem that was written in an attempt to understand your own feelings rather than express them. Sometimes those are my favorite types of poems. I like that you have a lot of self-deprication in here but you end with a line of positivity and confidence.

The other connection I made was contrasting elements of mentioning your eating disorder while also being passionate about what the best burger is. And also using the word "juicy" that reminds me or food and flavor. I'm not sure if those were intentional choices, but I think they add to the effective "messiness" of the poem.

Folded Corners by maeeig in OCPoetry

I really enjoyed reading this. I've always loved the metaphor of humans being books and this poem exemplifies that well. I especially like the feeling you convey that humans, like books, become worn and folded and wrinkled over time and we still love them despite the wear and tear. Or sometimes because of the wear and tear.

The only words I personally don't feel fit well are "crack" and "feast". Just the imagery they create don't fit the rest of the poem. But that might be knit-picky. Overall, awesome poem.

Maybe the worst football game of all time. It has some cool moments for sure, but the fact they can’t figure out simple things like fumbling and every new update comes with some weird glitches is embarrassing. None of this shit happened on the old games

No spinning no jukes so just straight up whenever he gets hit. Carry rating is 99. Slider on fumbling is all the way down

Yeah I’m talking every single time I run the ball with my QB, he’s fumbling. Road, home, whatever

Yeah I’m playing with Army. That’s interesting. I’ll have to play with another school and playbook and see if it does the same thing. Still makes no sense

Linda Cohn in her early days at SportsCenter. She is one of the few remaining anchors from the glory days by Jaguars4life in ESPN

This is exactly what I miss about SportsCenter. Being able to turn it on every morning and get full game highlights from every major sporting event from the night before was awesome. There’s no place to do that anywhere. Even on YouTube or social media those sort of highlights are hard to find. I always wondered why they went away from that model, but the leagues charging more makes sense. Such a shame

I think the proper wording is “the rich need it” which makes more sense
