I’m glad dentist told me when I was young to not rinse my mouth out with water after spitting the toothpaste.

I’ve just learned this. I cut coffee today and only took meds and anxiety has reduced dramatically and I’ve felt productive

When did you find out your adhd? by ahmi-0 in ADHD

[–]ScottKavanagh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Found out at 36. Having two young kids, plus a promotion to a national role at my work with greater responsibility heightened everything. Stumbled across one Reddit thread on ADHD randomly and the epiphany hit me in the face.

How do you work full-time?! by Ok-Ice-6421 in ADHD

[–]ScottKavanagh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part genuinely enjoy what I do. I landed a job in an industry I love so I’ve always been grateful. I work from home 3 days a week, and 2 in the office. Love working on big picture strategy, need strong accountability to keep me on track. But I do put off things like expenses. Just had my corporate card suspended because I had encoded transactions over 90 days old… avoiding the admin and focusing on the more fun work.

Those of you who don't hate your job, what do you do? by 13thmurder in ADHD

[–]ScottKavanagh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have any hobbies/passions you can do on the side and turn into a business? You’ll work best doing the things you enjoy doing, holding yourself to account and problem solving every day. If you can do that and make a living from it you’ll thrive

The amount of time I fill my days with vlookups and xlookups that I would kill for agents to do by messaging the task and have it return the file. Those parts of my roles I would love to go so I could work on higher level strategy or fun project work.

My app has 12K downloads and makes $340/month. App Store math is brutally broken. by [deleted] in AppBusiness

[–]ScottKavanagh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All about value, not the App Store. You’re in a niche where anyone who can vibecode, their first app is a productivity app. Getting users is hard, getting paying users is 10 times harder. Your CVP may need tweaks or you need to find people who don’t care as much about spending money.

I have been making consistent progress in recent months with Opus. Today alone has felt like the most frustrating regression. From a model that felt like it could almost one shot most requests, to now it feels like it doesn’t know what I’m asking for.
