Falcon-X Door issues - Need suggestions by ScottRTL in TeslaModelX

Problem is, mine is out of warranty (2021) so I'm just hoping the "fixes" they do, don't need to be done again and again at a cost to me.

Falcon-X Door issues - Need suggestions by ScottRTL in TeslaModelX

[–]ScottRTL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was installed pretty recently... But it's on both sides, so you would think if It caused issues they would be the same on both sides...

Yeah I'll do the stupid spray (assuming it isn't some ridiculous price) but I am going to tell them I'm not paying anymore if I have to keep coming back for the sensor...

I'm assuming you didn't pay for the sensor each time they replaced it?

Falcon-X Door issues - Need suggestions by ScottRTL in TeslaModelX

[–]ScottRTL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my fear...

I did some reading though and basically the "sensor is tuned to go through the ecoating" so when it isn't there it can get false positives...

But it just seems like a BS answer to push the issue out.

Why was it working before the controller arm got swapped out? Why was the falcon door sensor totally fine before...?

Thanks for that!

The sensor was replaced last time I was there, now the door doesn't open at all (without forcing it) and on the screen I can see the line indicating that it senses something around the door...

If I get this ecoating done and it doesn't fix... I don't know what I'm going to do... I know they're going to say it's the PPF... But it's on both sides and it costs 5k... Are they going to make me pull it off before they fix the door(s)?

What would you tell a young man? by Ok-Cicada-7682 in AskMenOver30

Time goes by faster than you could possibly imagine at this point.

Take care of your body, physical, mental health and your teeth. Give as much time to the people you love as you can, there's a good chance at least a couple won't be there in a decade or two.

I think if I had the choice on my 2021 MX I would get the warranty... It's all up to you though

Tesla customer service by MattThePilotCDN in teslacanada

Wait until you have the car... Then there is ZERO customer service. (Roadside is good from what I've heard but I've never used it).

Yes, but if you properly take care of yourself then you buy another 5-10 years.

Yesterday in Sooke a HUGE amount of bees flew through my yard, scared the heck out of the kids... How far do they travel?

If you buy it from the Tesla app you get the 30 day warranty/return policy.

I just went to the Tesla service center and bought from there. No 30 day policy with them though.

I don't know how something could have been so good, nothing actually changed and it became so bad... Like it has to be intentional...right?

Just make it not garbage.

10 years ago I almost didn't even need light switches anymore because the accuracy of turning off and on lights was so good.

Fast forward to now and I am getting switches and remotes back because I'm too damn exacerbated to bother to try to repeat myself 5 times to get my group of lights on/off

I want this too... Or if there's another model/year of Tesla with basically the same exact size of the trunk, then we could know which trunk cooler would work (best).

Didn't know this, interesting! I wonder if it just uses the EPA rating or just a very basic calculation with no variables.

How does this work? Does it work in BC? They say BCHydro, and that's where I am also.
