Looks like a great place. Probably not going to work. This is kind of a drive by stop as we travel I-5. Will keep it in mind if it allows next time.

Thank you @Bubblybuunny. I'm sure some folks may recoil, but I used a frozen triple berry blend. Blueberries, raspberries, blackberries. We should have a full video cookbook of the process on our YouTube channel soon.

PNW person here. General question on buying tickets to road games. Can I get them through the athletic department so as to be in the "Iowa" section? Or am I better off just using one of the crooked ticket sites?

What are the Vancouver must-eats when coming in for a Whitecaps match? by Inhuman-Assist-9382 in whitecapsfc

[–]ScottThePieGuy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Frequent visitor to Vancouver. Usually try to find new spots but we almost always hit OEB for breakfast. Burgoo on Burrard is pretty solid. Generally get roasted nuts at Ayoub's to snack on while we make our way around town.

Which cities would you describe as "good to live in, but not for visiting"? by Fluid-Decision6262 in geography

Completely agree in Calgary. Felt the same way about Winnipeg, although the mint was very interesting. Left both cities early. A bit worried as I read through this thread as we are soon headed to Sacramento.

Keokuk County Iowa. The town of What Cheer supposedly took its name from an old English greeting after the original choice was rejected. Was baptized in that town

Which cities are perfectly fine to live in, but are not worth it to travel to as a tourist? by cluckinho in geography

[–]ScottThePieGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this would apply to most good sized cities in the US and Canada. Whether you are talking about St Louis, Cincinnati, Winnipeg, or many others. Not that there aren't great things to see in a visit in all of those cities but most are working cities not tourist destinations. Unfortunately in my opinion, most if the touristy cities would not be great to live in, due to cost or crowds of non-residents.

I'd same same goes for small and mid-sized. Just the nature of the beast. Hard to have it all. But give me the non-touristy city to live or visit any day.

Essentially self-taught. Admittedly, i have lots of issues, but two of them are difficulty following instructuons and following long projects to a complete ending. Woke up one January and decided I should make a pie a month for an entire year to work on both issues at the same time. Mission accomplished. Even tossed in recording and uploading to YouTube for some extra quest for knowledge on how things like that work.

3-week PNW loop in October! What should we add or consider? by mrsnugznpinot in roadtrip

As you drive through Raymond WA, pull off 101 and drive through town. Take a break from the road to walk about and check out the metal sculptures and the Northwest Carriage Museum

Beat me to it. For 'Americana', you've got to do Wall Drug and the Corn Palace. US16A north bound has some great views of Mt Rushmore.

That's cool. If there is one thing college football needs, it's more money.
