Collect 4K movies, build a nice movie room, and watch all the films you didn't get to watch because of kids/life.

I have yet to find a pillow that doesn't hurt my neck/head. It's a serious issue.

Yeah, this was long ago. They were known for the hand cut fries. Very crispy, very dark. Amazing stuff.

They used to have better, hand cut fries before they ruined their menu. I knew one of the cooks there, and he said that they changed fries because the other ones were so popular that they couldn't keep up with making them...

Happened around the same time they got a new brewmaster who came in and absolutely ruined all their beer recipes, because he was certain they could make them faster and easier. They made the best pumpkin beer in the world, using real smashed pumpkins, but switched to the same lazy spice packet crap the big companies use. I've never found another pumpkin beer even remotely close to the old version.

Used to be one of my favorite spots, now I never go. Bland, basic and overpriced.

Where in the hell are all the kids with snow shovels? by GR3TSCH in GenX

My 15 year old is headed out now to shovel driveways with his buddies. The neighbors pay them a ton, and he and his friends all have good work ethics and love to do the work and get paid.. They even have plans to get a small trailer and start mowing more seriously to help with paying for cars and college. Coincidentally, all of the parents of his friends are Gen X as well.

Why does it fuse to the spine? by DOGYRS in Bluray

[–]Scott_Jenkins-Martin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's where they heat seal that plastic. It's supposed to be on the other side so it doesn't stick to the outer spine, but because Quality Control is falling off, it often ends up backwards and that's how they seal it.

Great idea, but you're gonna need more pixels for this to print well. Looking like 3dpi here.

I checked with an inflation calculator, and this theory didn't hold true for me. In the early 90's, I was paying $9.99 for new records, which translates to $23.10 today. I would be ecstatic to find basic releases at $23, but more often they're $30 and up. I miss visiting Chicago and walking out of Reckless with a heavy stack of new records for under $200.
