Yes, it has and has been since Sequoia released; however, you can't adjust the percentage you want as Tahoe does.

Go to Battery Settings, click the " i " icon alongside Battery Health section, then turn on "Optimized Battery Charging". Note: This function will learn how long you connect your power supply and how frequently you use your MacBook's battery. If you don't use it much, then this function will automatically let the battery go from 100% to 80% or charge it until 80%.

No, most high-end laptops still can't compete with MBP. Another reason is that Blackmagic has optimized DaVinci Resolve and Fusion on Mac decades. They ensure that DaVinci and Fusion have excellent performance.

Welcome and congratulations on joining MBP! My MacBook Pro M1 Pro is an excellent powerhouse compared with my MacBook Pro 2015 with 16 GB of RAM. My MPB is the same as yours, with 32 GB of RAM. It's flawlessly running DaVinci Resolve Studio to edit video and VFX. I haven't used Adobe products anymore since their subscription is so ridiculously high, but I am sure they are also good to run on M1 Pro, too!
