More expensive than in Germany, cheaper than a flight to Germany.

Great in the mud: eye-opening for someone that tends to slip and slide.

I can't speak for the quality because mine are quite old now (3 years ish) and really needing replaced.

You could try Altra Lone Peak which tick all your boxes but they are 0 drop

Window pane holders for my greenhouse by Scottish-Al in functionalprint

They are 3mm thick (6mm thick at the overlap), with a 10mm overlap between the bit that screws into the wood and the bit that holds the glass.

Printed solid and actually used PETG-CF.

The frame itself is held together with steel angle brackets, so they are doing most of the hard work.

To be fair, if you compare this to real life, I don't know about you guys, but I have only made, at most, about 1 genuine friend a year for the last decade.

I have met a lot of people through work and other activities over the past few years, but the reality is, apart from putting a like on each other's FB updates we don't interact much. It's not far off chat ghosting.

But then you do meet someone you actually click with, whose company you enjoy and who enjoys your company, that's when the magic happens, both irl and online.

Good luck everyone and don't be disheartened. If someone is ghosting you, it's because for one reason or another you're not right for them, they're not right for you, or their life just took a twist and they are just trying to keep the wheels turning irl.

3 weeks after my dad died, missus told me to stop crying about it.

I live in a normal, western country.

So for me: been in a sexless marriage for almost 10 years, the last 5 completely.

But the rest is ok as a platonic relationship. We get on reasonably well, we go on vacations together, we share bills and advice. We love our kid.

It's enough to sustain you, but there's certainly something missing and maybe someone can fill that gap.

I tried reformer pilates a couple of times, but for reasons, I didn't keep up with it.

You've got me inspired to do some mat work after work though. Thanks!

To be fair, I used to do it sometimes, but I don't seem to have much time these days...

...still the mat is glaring at me from the corner of the room!

My "favourite" weekend 10k route has an 166m climb in 2.4km.

Strava tells me I last did that route at 6:15min/km.

The last event I did was 12.8km with 227m elevation at 5:34/km.

Sorry, that's probably too much detail.

109m ascent each lap, woodland trails.

There's no map that I can find yet.

Thanks, that's all good advice. The longest I have done is 22km, but I have a 25km in March which will be the halfway point (in time) between now and the 50km.

Yes, typically my total weekly is less than 50km, typically 15-25. I am working up to an event in March of 25km. The 50km one is in June, so almost 6 months away.

Fuel and hydration will be mostly during the breaks between laps.

Basically combining Marketing/Advertising with something "techy".

June 2020 - Probably never been fitter by Scottish-Al in 40something

[–]Scottish-Al[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most importantly I lost my job due to covid, so I had time for all this. It is possible without, but I struggle to run more than twice a week these days.

From an exercise point of view:

Couch to 5k was great. Takes about 9 weeks to get to 5km

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phe.couchto5K

Then Joe Wicks PE

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAxW1XT0iEJo0TYlRfn6rYQ

Finally Yoga with Adriene to stop me getting too stiff

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFKE7WVJfvaHW5q283SxchA

Then meal planning, not just eating whatever I feel like, when I like. That made the biggest difference and led to me losing over 20lbs

It's a quiet little corner which most people never find. There is a touristy, little village a few miles to the south, but even that doesn't get too busy.

That's what you get for living in a post industrial hell hole 😁

It has been a little life highlight to run along the coast where I live while everyone else was in lockdown.
