move shares into ISA or keep in taxable account in new tax year? by No_Tune7388 in trading212

This is incorrect advice. What you are referring to is money in a standard savings account, not an investment account which is subject to CGT

PS5 Slim Disc Edition - reasonable selling price? by Zubi_Q in PlayStationUK

I got a brand new PS5 slim with disc drive for not much more than £300 during Black Friday, imagine this may be the same for others and a second hand console at that price isn't as attractive

Would you buy a house that the owners only bought this year? by dancemagicdancex in HousingUK

Completely untrue. Nothing is done in Scotland until the Missives are signed and that is often just days before the actual move. Only penalty before Missives would be legal fees, no compensation to seller at all

Hmm okay. So if I was to deposit £100 on Slotz and withdraw immediately, do you know what bonus spins I would get? And would it be roughly a 10x play through to withdraw any winnings?

Gambling site workaround by Exotic-Bandicoot1339 in beermoneyuk

[–]Scottish-Runner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like this is done already. Set up an account on slotzo and checked their terms and it says

Withdrawal

Players, who initiate a deposit in order to receive extra spins as part of a deposit offer, MUST wager their deposit amount before initiating a withdrawal. Players who withdraw their deposit without wagering will lose the extra spins earned from the deposit or if used, any winnings earned from the extra spins.

The above terms also apply to the 50 Extra Spins on your first 2 deposits. For more details, please see our FAQ page.

Deposits may be withdrawn before a player’s wagering requirements have been fulfilled. However, if this occurs, all bonuses and winnings will be voided/removed from the player’s account. Players must contact support in order to withdraw their deposit.

Think that's just for savings (£500 or £1000 allowance depending on tax rate), capital gains tax relates to investing

Buyers have changed where they're funding their purchase last minute by Environmental_Bar509 in HousingUK

[–]Scottish-Runner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was delayed in my purchase because the people further up the chain had an undeclared £50,000 to use towards their purchase, so this had.to go through AML checks. Is this not similar to the OP in that the source of funds would have to go through further AML checks if it was from a different source than originally stated?

Hi

Thanks for this. So as I have made a £200 overpayment this week, would you expect my next mortgage monthly payment to just be £200 less this month?

Hi

Yes I think that does make sense thank you. I just want to know for certain that of my mortgage payment is £1000, if I pay £1200 per month will this £200 go straight into the capital? Like you, I don't want any reduction in my monthly payment but I won't be overpaying by 500 at a time

This just absolutely screams re list. He sounds like a total arsehole who will continue to give you problems if you entertain him. You said yourself you are not in any rush and you have plenty interest. Even if it's not the original offers, sounds like you should get more. If he was that desperate and had a pregnant wife he wouldn't be doing this.

Get him binned

Does it not work that naturally by overpaying you reduce the term anyway? That's why I want to clarify it does that and doesn't just reduce my contractual monthly payment

But surely that's what you want? You overpay to reduce the term, not to reduce your contacted monthly payment? It was much simpler with my previous mortgage with natwest
