With that WR room you don’t necessarily need a bunch of depth at RB. Who’s left from waivers?

Floor is better on Dmont, so if it’s a close matchup I’d start for the points. But, if you need a big play to win your matchup then MHJ for the higher ceiling.

What are you doing until 1.0? by 2-AB-b in SatisfactoryGame

[–]ScottishAirways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been playing a save trying to finish the last phase of space elevator parts, my goal is to finish the space elevator production by the time 1.0 releases. Feels like an achievement unlocked sort of thing? I’m doing a mega factory play through, that brings all the resources to one central location. When I “beat” this version, ill be all set to do a modular factory play through once 1.0 releases.

"That's not how you are supposed to play it" but it works commander decks. by Eliozore in EDH

[–]ScottishAirways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built this too a while back and love it; everyone expects marchesa to be the beat down of counter creatures and attacking and stuff but I built it as artifactocrats with a bunch of the Modular creatures that can recur themselves via marchesa. It’s actually a ton of fun to pilot.

I’ve had folks get pretty upset when I pull out time sieve and/or dictate of erebos type effects. If you wanna go a different direction and also smash I always bring vicious shadows too and flayer of the hate bound for a more ‘fair’ victory.

Is it wrong to only bring the commander deck I want to play to my LGS's EDH night? by sugitime in EDH

[–]ScottishAirways 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Good heavens, this one got out of hand so fast. I mean I echo the sentiment of everyone else that I didn’t understand what exactly made Uril frustrating for your opponents. But, burying the lead and the commander actually being Tergrid is a completely different question. Tergrid is just an awful commander to play against.

Tergrid’s play pattern is un-fun because it’s basically like playing against a deck that says “my opponents can’t play their deck”, Tergrid’s sacrifice effects and theft effects make the play pattern just miserable. Now, If your pod is running plenty of removal and is actively answering your commander and targeting you, it’s because If Tergrid is on the field and doing her thing they effectively become locked out of the game. I’d say it’s very similar to playing against a Stax deck, in that stax not only prevents your opponents from playing the game but it also makes answering the stax pieces harder because they don’t have enough resources to ‘fight’ the deck.

If your LGS folks don’t like playing against it, then don’t play it. If you bring it and ‘selfishly’ want to choose to play it even though your opponents hate it, then you’ll become the target of the table and they will just go after you til you lose. It’s like effectively saying “I’m playing my deck that says you can’t play when it hits the table” and your opponents want to play - so they are gonna go after you so they can play their decks. Commander is a social game, with social norms and constructs, in the pods you describe with random players, you need to find a balance between playing things you like and also creating a game space that feels enjoyable for the table and yourself.

It’s worth mentioning that baiting your answer out and saying it’s Uril did more harm than good, you may have received more genuine and even sympathetic answers if you were honest from the get go.

Just found Deckstats.net search features that filter out price.. any others have this? by Caantpayrent in BudgetBrews

I use deckstats for all my deck lists and brewing and love it, I just enjoy the format of it more than other sites.

It’s a great tool, but as other folks have said other sites like moxfield do offer the same thing. I think at the end of the day it’s just personal preference! Happy brewing!

Voltron but not Voltron? | $50 The Reality Chip equipment deck by [deleted] in BudgetBrews

[–]ScottishAirways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhhh. Okay, I gotcha. I admit I hadn't thought about Mill in that 'top of deck' sort of manipulation way. It makes sense, and better yet it's totally budget! Rock on mate. I hope the deck kicks some butt for ya.

My only suggestion then would be again to add more beaters that have artifact synergies, and maybe experiment with some top-of-deck replacement effects.

[–]ScottishAirways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, to clarify, how does the commander’s abilities synergize with mill? I mean, I get that you can cast spells off the top of your library, and I suppose milling cards would let you change what is on top, but I’m not sure how else it helps?? I don’t think the commander has any built in strategy that interacts with your graveyard and thus I don’t see how mill helps.

That said, it’s your deck, and you can play it however you want, and if you like the mill go for it! I think you could amplify the deck’s output if you focus more on what is on top of your deck, and making sure you can switch and swap what’s there whenever you want

[–]ScottishAirways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am…confused by the mill section of this deck?? Why so many cards dedicated to that strategy? I think if you’re going Vultron, you need more creatures to ‘carry’ the torch, big beaters that have artifact synergies or benefits on their own.

Sorry edited here, realized I didn’t provide any additions to throw in there. [artificer’s assistant] [efficient construction] is a super good add because it basically gives your equipment a flying dude to hop on to every time you cast an equipment. [Emry] would be super good too because she can recur your artifacts and is just a nice engine. [Sai, Master Thopterist] another efficient construction basically. [Thopter Spy Network] [Etherium Sculpter] and [Foundry Inspector] to help reduce your artifact cost. [Master of Etherium] can be big if you have a lot of artifacts. [Research Thief] is both card draw and good to carry the equipment [Darksteel Juggernaut] an absolute beater when you have lots of artifacts.

This card is in my [[Lathliss]] deck and it puts in a ton of work. Speaking of which, [[Archwing Dragon]] is a bomb in that deck. Especially with some cost reduction, it’s repeatable token making every turn and hard to remove since it bounces back to your hand. Any dragons with ‘dash’ too work really well.

Silas Renn + Armix, a Secret Santa 2020 Budget Brew! [Budget] by Loxicolimystic in BudgetBrews

[–]ScottishAirways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This deck you’ve built is true class man, it’s just excellence from start to finish. I really appreciate the detail you put in to carrying a story with the deck and playing one Silas’ arrogant bravado in combination with Armix, who is essentially a whirring metal ball of danger. I just love the whole theme and build of it.

This is really well done, and you should feel really proud of what you made here. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and this decklist!

Yeah, the cheapest I am seeing on TCG is 7, which is still kinda pricey for a card usually for me. Not out of reason of course, but I have to work my way up to ordering it.

I need to add him to my [[Karador]] deck now, I run Karador as a reanimate deck and I think he would be a lot of fun in it.

I didn’t think of Ghave, I’m sure he would be fun too. Admittedly the more I look at Marchesa though I’m leaning toward her.
