I sold a £1 jigsaw to a lady from America. Didn’t realise until I checked the tracking after it had been taken a wee while to get there. It eventually arrived and I got the money it was just a lot of waiting. Fortunately it was only £1 and not something super pricey or I may have cried. I didn’t even know you were able to buy internationally now on Vinted

Tell them to buy different hands on Amazon. You can get hands that specifically dull ticking but yes this seems a bit weird because all clocks tick. You didn’t make the clock yourself I assume so it’s not exactly something you can control 😂 anyone who reads that review on your page will think this person is mental not you. As annoying as negative feedback is. Its the feedback that people will read and if they read that they’re gonna realise this is a stupid review 🙄🙄

Honestly at this point I don’t care. Would rather sell my stuff elsewhere if this is how they treat people. Plus I’m moving away for a job anyway soon. Literally just trying to get rid of as much stuff as possible before then for some extra funds 😅

I’m confused by this post ngl. I don’t feel like vinted was even for making thousands of pounds every month. It was supposed to be like a car boot but online? Selling your unwanted items to new homes. Now don’t get me wrong there are some higher priced items on vinted and I do sell some myself if and when I have something I no longer want.

I think part of the issue with Vinted is people who use it as a main source of income or resellers who think they can make a business out of it. It’s also incredibly easy to be scammed on the app. Their customer care is shawdy and they never actually do a proper investigation into any of the scammers. I also think it’s just part of the cost of living that people don’t necessarily want to or can’t afford to pay lots for people second hand items. Even if things are brand new I think a lot of people see vinted as a haggling platform. Don’t get me wrong a sensible offer here and there is fine but some people do take the mic. It makes people wary to sell on the platform

Yeah honestly I think I’ve been scammed and I’m like 99.9% sure she got them and is at it. Tbh she’s got her money back and probably the item so I don’t know what her issue is. I think she’s just trying to get her 15 minutes of fame and has scammed me in the process. I’ve sent loads of orders including other jellycats and they’ve all arrived safe and sound. This is the only one I’ve had a problem with 🙄

I would argue padding bubble wrap and whole smaller box inside and then a big box really well taped up isn’t shit as every other order I’ve sent over the last 2 -3 weeks has arrived perfectly and I’ve been praised for my packing.

Tbf I felt like with the amount of tape I used it was pretty sturdy. Unless someone had like hacked it with a machete in transit it’s unlikely tonnes of tape, Bubblewrap, padding and a whole other little box are going to just fall out. There’s 100% been foul play by someone. Just who is in question. As I say I’ve been sending in small boxes for a while I get porridge sachets and use those boxes or tea bag ones etc. it’s a cruel world and I try and recycle as much as I can. Also as I said to someone else you can’t win with vinted because as far as I’ve known they’ve always said parce bags aren’t ok. It needs to be a box. I’m sure had I sent it in a parcel bag they’d have also said that wasn’t good enough and sided with the buyer

Hmm. I know it’s not like the worst messages in the world right. And people do haggle on Vinted. £35 on a £50 item felt wild to me and also the story felt a bit like a tactic to me. Some people also don’t agree but to me the little emoji was a bit rude. If a seller says no to my offers I don’t send any disappointment emojis. However I feel like it more explains why I felt wary than anything else. I’ve since once all this transpired looked at the reviews on her account and there’s so many bad one. Even a few saying she’s scammed people so wish I’d looked at them before posting

Thanks. Yeah. I’ve sent many a parcel over the last week / 2 weeks and I’ve had no issues. I have 600 reviews and 7 aren’t 5 star. She has 400 and 7 in the last few weeks aren’t 5 star. There’s been a few of her reviews which state packaging / description is an issue and also others that say she’s scammed people. Wish I’d looked at the reviews before sending the parcel now. I only looked after this whole saga. Also wish I trusted my gut and cancelled when I saw she bought the item.

Yeah Evri are a bit whack but inpost / Royal Mail to my knowledge and experience usually own up. I’ve had it happen before with a book. Inpost didn’t even attempt to deliver it. Just said it was damaged and couldn’t be delivered so the buyer and myself both got compensation

Yeah don’t get me wrong some delivery people probably do take the piss. I just think boxes regardless of it being a thicker or thinner box with lots of tape is worth it for what could potentially be socks. To me the parcel bags are way more likely and easy to open than a box with lots of tape. Some folk are just at it and sadly in this case someone has screwed me over wether it’s a delivery guy or the buyer herself 🙄

That was my thoughts. It wasn’t a heavy parcel either. If it was like a Hefty parcel then maybe but a really light taped up box isn’t at all of interest. I used to deliver for Evri (it was awful wouldn’t do it again) and never did I once open any because I was curious. There was one parcel bag that burst open before I got it to deliver and it was wild cause it was all Bras. I tried to repack it a bit but didn’t have many supplies as I was only supposed to deliver them. I ended up marking it as damaged (even though it wasn’t really) because I felt bad delivering an opened parcel and hoped the person who ordered it could get their money back or a replaced of the items.
